So you do or don’t think he should be arrested ?
-
It could mean that, but I think we both know that's not what he was trying to say, being that all the lead up to this is the crime was being allowed to happen rampantly and nothing was being done about it, and by the fact that he didn't argue that in response, but as usual tried to make a shift. It could just as easily mean the local law enforcement was in fact doing the job and didn't need the military to be doing law enforcement activities. I don't know either way, I'm not in DC, and don't really trust the soundbites they're giving us. Just pointing out that the data doesn't necessarily show "change is in the air, boss". Just seems like more grandstanding from my perspective.

wouldn't less arrests mean the presence is deterring??
-
Did I say, or imply that? Improved comprehension skills would allow you to see my response you quoted was geared toward the response that those pardoned after assaulting police officers were “wrongfully arrested”. Brush up and try to keep up.

You think that crazy guy yelling fascist was justified and or should not have been arrested ? The subway bandit. We need a good good name for him.

The lady pedestrians in their vicinity seem to be smiling a lot.

It’s a sad state when we’re chin wiping so much that assaulted law enforcement officers is “wrongful arrests”. Well, depending on why they are assaulting the police officers I guess.

Good number of tweets about dc. They’re funny https://www.tiktok.com/t/ZP8BdMjS4/

How many wrongful prosecutions were there yesterday?
-
I think this is specifically associated with the new boots on the ground. So I suspect that is in addition to normal arrests. I’ve no idea if pardons were issued yesterday. Were they?
-
So, on the topic of change is in the air...just for comparitive purposes...in 2024 DC averaged 56 arrests per day. But I'm curious how many presidential pardons were issued for violent and/or destructive crimes committed in DC yesterday.

Maybe they shouldn’t treat their LEOs like trash and let them do their jobs and they wouldn’t be so understaffed too https://www.fox5dc.com/news/police-union-president-says-mpd-is-facing-staffing-crisis.amp

I believe the program's first year was 2023-2024 and their first year of postseason eligibility was 2024-2025. So personally I'd give him one more year to at least show improvements before I made a move. But I agree, they suck...a lot. -
There's times when one has to simply turn off the logical and analytical part of the brain and go with the eye test. 5 champs>4 and this is one of the rare times I must simply disagree with you. Additionally 2023 is top-heavy whereas 2024 featured at least 12 AAs if memory serves from a hazy conversation last March.

The 2023 bracket rules the roost (for now). The only substantive difference between 2023 and 2024 is the swap of Shane Griffith for Mitchell Mesenbrink. Once Mesenbrink completes his four years it is likely that 2024 will surpass 2023.
