  1. Past hour
  2. Oh no... Cardinale's knee was very much talked about... the next year, which would be the year after he taunted injured Lee while being down by more than a touchdown.
  3. Zahid looked rather bad at that ranking series if I recall he had to pull a win against China out of his butt. I believe Ishiguro was on a heat too he pinned Amine and then got the first takedown against Yazdani.
  4. Kozak uploaded a team Japan preview: I didn't realize Ishiguro at 86 has a past TF win over Zahid. That could make that matchup more interesting.
  5. Chael offered him $1 million for his “NIL rights” (not sure what that’s even supposed to mean, TBH), and the Bassett’s didn’t even respond? I think that gives credibility to the $5 million number…
  6. You are giving Spencer Lee way too much credit.
  7. I've been reading people here talking about Spencer being a great scrambler as well thinking, "what guy did they watch?" I think Spencer Lee is an unbelievable talent, but he was very meat and potatoes as far as wrestling goes. I can say the same about Zain Retherford. They dominated guys but I don't think about scrambling ability when I think about them. Spencer Lee had amazing fundamentals paired with insane grip strength that allowed him to dominate guys. Spencer definitely had a crack in his amor though and if you could exploit it you could beat him.
  8. Come on man, that’s just plain silly.
  9. After reading everything the last few days I also think Tom Brands did the right thing.
  10. Who even would be responsible for enforcing the 250 mile thing? USA Wrestling, not the NCAA, right?
  11. I've never seen any kid/program get penalized for the 250 mile rule and I've seen kids train across the country while still in HS. I'm assuming the last point is what happened.
  12. Very nice! This format seems oddly familiar though . What do you think @Wrestleknownothing?
  13. I hope you have a great a day.
  14. dads a teacher moms a nurse they are doing just fine and if money is tight well you make concessions / tired of people expecting others pick up the tab
  15. Yeah... the strongly worded Tweet didn't do the job... I still remain positive this is going to die down. Still think he's a clown, but Israel isn't going to risk losing the support of their strongest ally. They pushed the boundaries... or crossed it? It's hard to tell. The whole, 'the Ceasefire begins in X hours,' doesn't make sense to me. It's like a countdown for you to get your last shots in. Again, don't like the guy, but he does not want to be known as the President who got the US into a War. He's not going to invade(we may support a rebellion, but I'd bet this dies down. And AGAIN, I don't think this is going to ever turn into a land war on behalf of the US...but for those saying Iran is nearly impenetrable... this is why I disagree(this isn't even counting those who are deserting from Irans's side). https://youtu.be/F_InUR13p4I?list=TLPQMjQwNjIwMjXfxkUPEw3cPg
  16. Today
  17. I'm wondering if a personal visit from The Lee could possibly bring the Bassetts back into the fold? Bo has said Spencer is his idol...you have to think a personal visit at home could undo all the damage, no?
  18. I kinda agree. I didn't think he was a great scrambler. Even the first Ramos match that year, he was taken down, put on his back...then either put on his back again or taken down again, but I thought it was 8-0 or 8-1. I didn't think he was great on his feet. He was more than good enough, but if you're saying "as complete as a wrestler as one can think of," then...I don't see it. He gave up TDs a few times that year on early scrambles. For a guy who was SO dominant... that seemed like a weakness. At LEAST relative to the rest of his Wrestling.
  19. Back on topic. Shooter’s mom confirmed to be member of the church, shooter attended services there. I will give credit to the church for not badmouthing him and for asking to pray for the family. Of course also a great job by the security team and members who stopped the attack. But @El Luchador, sounds like the people you need to “watch out” for most at church (albeit still much less than other facets of life), might be the ones sitting next to you. https://www.detroitnews.com/story/news/local/wayne-county/2025/06/23/police-id-suspected-gunman-fatally-shot-at-wayne-church/84315724007/p https://nypost.com/2025/06/23/us-news/gunman-behind-michigan-church-rampage-idd-as-brian-anthony-browning/?utm_medium=social&utm_source=twitter&utm_campaign=nypost
  20. To be fair, many PSU fans were bashing him after he signed with Iowa. I hope Jagger is working on some good Kyle Snyder jokes if God tells Bo that Penn State is the right fit for his faith journey.
  21. Unfortunately, there doesn’t appear to be much of a ceasefire.
  22. Yeah...that's why watching it at 1.55X is better... but it also sounds like a fat guy eating ribs... It's a tradeoff. Also, do they start talking Wrestling less than 13 minutes into this one? Baasch seems to try and steer it on track but...it somehow veers back off-track.
  23. I don’t think it’s an elaborate scheme. Bob calls them up and pays them a lot of money. The end. Not sure if true but I read that “just getting an apartment” doesn’t fulfill the RTC 250 mile requirement. But to that point, my guess is the bigger issue was more about Brands apparently saying he can’t practice with the RTC whenever he wants, not the cost of travel to get there.
  24. He really sounds like a clown. Look, every program has black eyes. I think Minnesota is an exceptionally well run program and clean. They had their legendary, Championship Coach run out for covering up drug dealing. So calling Iowa(he says us) the most ethical program all-time...it's silly. He also acts like Bassett said Iowa is a 2nd tier program and they don't know how to win given how he claimed Bo attacked them on the way out...
  25. Pretty sure he was injured both years. He just didn't make a public statement that "I'm injured, but excuses are for wusses." Instead, he kept quiet and wrestled on one leg . . . twice.
  26. And why is that? Why is it "very likely" at a time when Iranian Soldiers are joining in the protests despite being threatened with treason...why do you think it'd require someone to "flatten" Tehran in order for the Iranian people to execute regime change? The Iran-Iraq War turned when we destroyed their Navy in '88. And we definitely took control of Afghanistan. But AGAIN...as I'm trying my best to articulate, comparing Persia, Iran to Iraq and Afghanistan is a foolish comparison to begin with. There's a WHOLE helluva lot more of an appetite to see a new Govt in Iran than there ever was in Iraq or Afghanistan.
