It is the for the most part. I've been down there plenty of times. Was in Gulf Shores in March for example (with the in-laws family). Yah, there was some nice stuff but we agreed that we'd rather go somewhere else next time. And driving through Mississippi and Alabama and Memphis? Some major cesspools. Absolutely horrible.

Or…I can take it east, north, or south and pull up to restaraunts, shops, or friends houses, or just chill in the connected lakes. Lots of options.
