I think Trent gained the ability to not worry about getting tired at 92kg which has really allowed him to just focus on scoring probably a little bit of a mindset shift + having more energy. I wonder if cutting the weight would hurt him in both of those regards.

I think he puts too much pressure on himself. He looked lackluster. His silver medal last year was a huge disappointment to him and nothing but gold would suffice this year. And the way the Brands look at winning, I'm sure it makes it even more difficult.
