  1. Past hour
  2. 100% He was absolutely going to be a member of the NLWC until Bartlett started talking. They can say all that garbage about fun and it just being a wrestling match but in reality Cael built a win at all cost culture and it’s coming home to roost.
  3. Weren’t the 2020 LA riots the costliest (financially) in us history? Somehow they beat out the Rodney king riots
  4. I find Christian Bale's range amazing. He is different in every role and sometimes nearly unrecognizable - and not due just to makeup.
  5. I don't want Cael to lose his job, but the "may not be signed to NLWC" seemed like a PR/damage control statement. It's not like Carter's behavior was enough to keep NLWC from training him through the trials and Final X true 3rd match. The "maybe" seemed more like, its not done yet and if this blows up then we actually might not..
  6. The University Park Police are not rent-a-cops though. University Park, Pa (the campus) has its own zip code and own police department.
  7. It would be very interesting to know if people who tend MAGA are more or less charitable than others. Hmmm, surely heartless people are not charitable . . . "Conservatives give more money to charity than liberals." https://finance.yahoo.com/news/more-generous-liberals-conservatives-081500677.html?guccounter=1&guce_referrer=aHR0cHM6Ly9kdWNrZHVja2dvLmNvbS8&guce_referrer_sig=AQAAAF-ugmvuwrMXFgZc3g4OFjbnfb6_iJt1UowaIePOiJXsuCT-gN4SbtKx-s-CKjuPx_5uquJ17yPzAW_aQnCmR1HDHad_agJp44xhm5nCf8ofwdU2LgnuoMjShvn-D8y8fcMxqMPM11wFarB175G6DbxpC7OgkvGU4gpJOW-7xRAV
  8. If this is true he 10000000% should lose his job. Every coach at Penn State should. And anyone in the administration who was made aware of anything should lose their job too.
  9. How can he be the center of an investigation but the real cops were never involved, and the rent-a-cops (campus police) never were able to contact him? Seems like a load of hoopla to me.
  10. In early January, we released an article entitled “Recruiting in 2024-25: The Year of the Flip.” At that point in time, 18 of the top 200 wrestlers from the Class of 2025 had flipped their commitment from one school to another. On Sunday night, the #2 overall recruit in the Class of 2026, Bo Bassett, turned the wrestling world upside down (or primarily the social media world) when he decommitted from Iowa. While Bassett hasn’t actually flipped to another school, it will be forthcoming. Once that happens, he’ll be the seventh Big Board wrestler from the Class of 2026 and the second top-three overall recruit to do so. As we’re still a few days away from July and four months away from signing day, there will be at least five wrestlers from the Class of 2026 who have flipped commitments. Based on recent history and the way college athletics is trending, I’d imagine that list will grow exponentially within the next year. Below is our list of wrestlers from the Class of 2026 who have already flipped commitments. For comparison’s sake, underneath that is a list of wrestlers from the top 50 in the Class of 2025 who flipped at one point or another. 2026 #2 Bo Bassett (Iowa to ???) #3 Jayden James (Virginia Tech to Penn State) #11 Antonio Mills (NC State to Missouri) #25 Tyler Dekraker (Ohio State to Minnesota) #37 Jonathan Rocha (Purdue to Virginia Tech) #119 Trey Wagner (Navy to Air Force) #172 Jake Knight (Oklahoma to ???) 2025 #4 Landon Robideau (Minnesota to Oklahoma State) #5 Sergio Vega (Cornell to Oklahoma State) #9 Jude Correa (Michigan to Cornell) #10 Harvey Ludington (Arizona State to Iowa) #20 Nick Sahakian (Arizona State to Michigan) #24 Cody Routledge (Nebraska to Oklahoma State) #32 Eren Sement (Penn to Michigan) #36 Jake Hockaday (Oklahoma to Nebraska) #40 Devon Magro (Brown to Rutgers) #41 Vince Bouzakis (Ohio State to Pittsburgh) #50 Austin Johnson (Oklahoma to Oklahoma State)
  11. A few people + random underage girls, apparently
  12. The Hodge trophy criteria losing 5. Sportsmanship starts to make sense now.
  13. Wow even several people on PSU board thinking this could cost Cael his job. I did miss the part originally about them saying Starocci “may not be signed to NLWC”
  14. $1000 is chump change for the PSU wrestlers But seriously, an iphone is $1000. A watch, shoes, gear, ipad, could easily get that high and its not like its any "school athletic locker", I would guess its a fairly secure area where only a few people have access.
  15. Somebody who doesn't think their teammate is a thieving pile of trash I guess.
  16. Defund the Police. Simultaneously SuperFund the Thought Police by 9x! No agenda here.
  17. A nice watch and pair of shoes were probably all it took to get to “$1000 worth of stuff”
  18. And it was just 3 days ago that Starocci was named PSU’s male athlete of the year… https://www.psu.edu/news/intercollegiate-athletics/story/mruzik-starocci-named-penn-state-athletes-year
  19. I am done. As a PSU alum and massive PSU wrestling fan I am finished with PSU wrestling. How many times is Penn State going to go through this before a coach learns? I doubt you'll see me around here much longer since I have no interest in rooting for another program and I won't be watching PSU wrestling anymore. I really have no words to describe just how braindead these people are.
  20. Maybe there are, but they weren’t in that article in terms of prior to this season. If Cael knew Starocci was causing these types of issues I don’t think he would have had boosters pay him $1 million or whatever to come back. They could have had Barr at 184 and then Cochran likely would have AA’d at 197. Starocci kept saying he didn’t want to come back anyway so they could have just parted ways and no one would probably have ever known about any of this. Although on that topic, earlier it was said in this thread “well why did Bartlett come back if he didn’t want to be around Starocci?” Maybe a lot of his issue with him didn’t really come up until this year
  21. That's a pretty good article- thanks for sharing! What kid keeps over $1000 worth of stuff in their school athletic locker?
  22. The HBO documentary on this in 10 years is going to slap
  23. So if like 10% of the allegations against Starocci are true, is it safe to assume PSU shouldn’t be “the right fit for Bo’s journey as a person” as long as Carter Starocci is still training there?
  24. https://www.psucollegian.com/features/features_investigation/former-teammates-and-women-allege-misconduct-from-carter-starocci/article_fe88515f-c0f6-46dc-a52d-5c4fac15222c.html?block_id=1420446 I don't want people to miss this in the longer thread about Bartlett. Yikes. And the PSU coaches don't come off looking great, either.
