  1. Past hour
  2. I highlighted that to show that this weight is consistently the toughest weight in the world, and I don't think anyone would argue that. So yes, I think it is pretty relevant.
  3. Didn't even know this place had a non wrestling forum, lol. Looks like a war zone in there. And those posts you mentioned are ridiculous and racist. I mean, only 1 of them is even true!
  4. Ot depends. My 2nd job is mostly outside and I'm burning calories. Complements main job really well. I can do this 20 hours in addition to main job no problem. Never burns me out, been doing that for years. 3rd job is a lot like my main job. Behind a computer, science, etc. That's a lot tougher for me. Even 10 hours in a week is a bit of a grind. I may end that one soon.
  5. Very good...
  6. Yes, by training. Career has evolved so not down in nitty gritty anymore but still a fair amount.
  7. I was in IT as an individual contributor for 15 years (80% salary 20% potential bonus for some if you get promoted to a high enough level) and a sales engineer for 13 years (80% ish base salary 20% commission). There is rarely:never overtime in either world…. As far as my experience goes. I can tell you in both worlds it’s not uncommon to have people work 60+ hours. At least the high achievers do routinely. I can also say, especially as an individual contributor (not sales) plenty of people work for 40 (or less ish) hours routinely. Especially if they are not extremely high achievers. your somewhat correct. You can’t work that way forever but almost everyone I know does it pretty routinely.
  8. Well you will win a 100 dollars if you are right. If he is still at 61 in 2027 I will send it to you.
  9. Some crazy lineups possible: 125: Lilledahl 133: Blaze/Davis/Ono/Nagao 141: Blaze/Davis/Ono/Nagao 149: Van Ness 157: Kasak/Duke 165: Mesenbrink 174: Haines 184: Welsh/Henkel 197: Barr /Miarsola 1 HWT: Mirasola 2
  10. It might be Birden and Cannon over Paddy. 3 quality guys for just 2 spots.
  11. I guess that is true. It's just a shame as there are so many phenomenal athletes that won't be able to showcase themselves if it gets removed from the olympics. I personally enjoy both styles equally but I think I'm in the minority here. If greco gets removed from the olympics, the sport will die. Apart from Iran, I dont think any other country will even bother sending proper teams to compete. It will just make freestyle much more competitive which isn't the worse either tbh. It's one of those things that sounds good on paper but is quite difficult to pull off in reality. It's only been kept somewhat alive possible because of the freak athletes who compete in it.
  12. In the 'Non Wrestling Topics' forum.
  13. There is a very small chance he wins a senior level gold. I don't even think he will make the senior team any time soon. Light weight is where every country in the world has good wrestlers (aside from us). Even the "second tier" countries have guys as good (at worst) or better guys than us. Our light weight development needs to have an overhaul. Apart from Amouzad we haven't really developed any proper light weights in a while.
  14. He looks malnourished at 61 the only way he moves up to 65 or higher is if they put him on an IV strip and force feed him. His match against Blaze showed that he needs to bulk up as he is going to get outmuscled otherwise. He is tall and lanky yes but I don't think that means he will necessarily move up. His body needs to adjust to 61 first.
  15. As young and crazy and illogical as RV is, I honestly hope someday he finds and understands perspective on life better. Working such long hours and trying to better yourself is very admirable especially when you are young, but to have the attitude that you should maintain that for your whole life is well, not living life... as life isn't about a job and as I have gotten older, I am thankful for what the long hours have allowed me to do for me and my family; however, it is definitely NOT what defines me...my relationships with my family and friends and the time spent together is 1000 times more important than a job ever was or will be. As I get closer to retirement (so jealous of you @JimmySpeaks ), I realize it even more as I hear about more and more people who worked their whole life and never got to enjoy the rewards of all that hard work (death, disability, mental health issues, etc.). I hopefully will not be that person.
  16. I figure an average from U17, U20, U23 and seniors is the best measure.
  17. Thursday, August 21 *all times listed are Eastern 9:45 am: Women's Freestyle 50-53-72 & Greco 60-82 Semifinals 11:00 am: Women's Freestyle 55-62-65-76 Medal Matches NOTE THE TIME for the semis this morning... don't be late! D3
  18. Which terrorist organization won 41.43% of the vote in that election to finish in second place. note. Hamas received 44.45% not 43%. third place (also a terrorist org) was 4.25% so not a big threat in the election but solidifying more than 90% of the vote was for terrorists.

  20. Aren't senior results the gauge by which we measure?
  21. Someone has written that in this forum or was it in the 'Non Wrestling Topics' forum? I haven't seen anything like that around here or in the college forum...
  22. There was 1 election almost 20 years ago where Hamas won 43% of the vote. Over half the population of Gaza wasn't even alive when that election happened. Only a very, very small percentage of living Gazans have ever voted for Hamas. The context of that election is also important. It happened after 20 years of Israel undermining and backing out of the peace agreements set forth in the Oslo accords. The PA tried the peace path in good faith and Israel undermined their legitimacy among Palestinians by continuing to settle the West Bank after agreeing not to (in addition to funding Hamas the entire time). And despite all that, a majority of Palestinians still voted no to Hamas.

  25. He was a good HS wrestler(2xer in Ohio). Something like 24-1 last season as a grey shirt for Finger Lakes CC.
  26. Not saying he’s guaranteed to be a champ at that age, but what I mean is he’s still got a lot of physical growing to do - height, weight, overall build. Right now his body looks pretty raw, so if he ever becomes a world champ, it won’t be anytime soon. As for the signature - if that’s ban-worthy, then at least ten long-time members here should’ve been banned way before me. We’ve got people posting stuff like "Iranians trade two goats for a wife", "an American dog is smarter than an Iranian woman", "Iranians wipe their ass with rocks and sticks" ,"your prophet was a pedophile", ... . And some Americans who follow or comment on this thread are actually liking those posts too. If those are fine to keep around, then I think my sig is the least of this forum’s problems. And of course, the signature is just because they like that slogan themselves - it's a long story and relates to other threads.
