  1. That doesn't mean my opinion can't or won't change. But until the police feel there is enough evidence to at least charge him of something, my opinion is that he did not do these things.
  2. I agree with everything you said here. But do we think one article is enough to form an opinion of him as "an abuser"? I don't think so. HE DOESN'T EVEN FACE ANY CHARGES YET.
  3. At least those 3 people all faced criminal charges. Starocci, at this point in time, does not face any criminal charges. So we're supposed to declare him an abuser based on one article?
  4. Understanding her POV doesn't make Starocci an abuser. It makes him an alleged abuser, until he is found guilty in a court of law.
  5. ***ALLEGED abuser*** You're a big "guilty until proven innocent" guy huh?
  6. Both had their day in court and were found guilty, so I'm not sure of your point.
  7. If you're asking whether or not one article, written by a website that I have no background knowledge of whether or not it's a credible source, is going to make me decide that someone is guilty of a crime that they haven't even been charged with yet, is my morality system, then yes. If Starocci is charged with the alleged crime, and convicted, then my morality system will tell me that he wasn't a good guy.
  8. That doesn't pay bills.
  9. At this point in time, both of them have the same criminal charges, none.
  10. I love this idea personally. A couple other names to consider would be Scott Green & Donnie Vinson. Yes, I know Vinson just took over at Buffalo a year or so ago, and is doing a great job recruiting/building there, and I know Green seems excited about working with Nickerson. But, Binghamton is both of their alma maters and that means something to a lot of people. Other names: Nic Bedelyon (I know he applied and was a finalist for Kent State HC job), Ramos???, Hayden Hidlay (gets him a HC job closer to home).
  11. This was the case a few years ago. But I don't think it still, unfortunately. New Jersey is 2nd.
  12. You know it's strongly against journalism ethics to publish off-the-record conversations correct? And in some instances can even lead to legal issues.
  13. The ole innocent until proven guilty approach huh? Curse you for following our great country's due process.
  14. @flyingcement If you don't understand the portal, no one does.
  15. I agree with everything you said here. I just like reminding everyone that Mr. Pastry really wants to push the "Caliendo to 157" narrative.
  16. According to @Jimmy Cinnabon, Caliendo has considered going 157. Doubt he's big enough to go 174.
  17. How can he be the center of an investigation but the real cops were never involved, and the rent-a-cops (campus police) never were able to contact him? Seems like a load of hoopla to me.
  18. When did holding kids accountable in order to try to help them accomplish their goals (which in turn will make the team better) become a bad thing?
  19. Davis has only went to one school, so it would probably be hard to have offenses at multiple schools right? Asking for a friend.
  20. Man idk. I know the staff loves the Frost bros, for obvious reasons.
  21. 125: Escobedo. I think this was my first year really watching the NCAA finals and he kind of put it on Ness. 133: Cory Clark. Grew up wrestling against him, so there's a nostalgia effect. Then I gained a ton of respect for him when he won the title with essentially one arm. 141: Jaggers. I loved his cradle series off of opponent's HC and thought it was awesome how he always got it done at NCAAs. 149: Gregor Gillespie. I remember him having a lightning quick low single and I ate that up. 157: Michael Chandler. I met him at Mizzou camp one summer and he talked to me about Jesus Christ and I loved it. He always scrapped hard too. Had an unreal match with Leen once, which he lost, but was a complete scramble fest. 165: Mark Perry. He won me over when he beat Hendricks for the title, even though I was a diehard OSU fan growing up. 174: Jay Borschel. When he ran down Heinrich in the semis, I thought he was the baddest dude that had ever stepped on a mat. 184: Quentin Wright. I remember him pinning Gambrall in the semis and the place erupted. 197: Jake Varner. Dude just always found a way to win and I thought he was unbeatable. 285: Mark Ellis. He was my camp counselor at Mizzou camp the summer after he won the title. Looked up to him after that. Wow. I consider myself a Hawkeye hater to be honest, and 3/10 of my team is Hawks.
  22. I think Ruth at his peak beats 184 version of Brooks' peak. Brooks was better at 197. If you remember, Marcus Coleman beat a 184 Brooks. 141 I'm not sure Zain could go here. Yes, he beat Stieber, but he only wrestled one NCAA tournament here and finished 5th. I think a junior year, 157, JB beats Nolf. But I won't fight you on it. I won't argue with you about Starocci over Askren. I could see the argument for both (Askren 2 Hodges vs Starr 4 titles). Also, not to nitpick, but you reference a couple times that you're prioritizing college careers, which I did as well. But then you also mentioned that Vito got the nod from you in part because he won a WT.
  23. Oversight on my part. I overlooked Cael since he started his career in the 90s. Slide Cael in at 197 and remove Nickal.
  24. The problem is some people look at this as "who the had the best career" and others look at it as "who was the best in their prime or at their peak". And Flo did not really clarify which way they're defining it. I'll do prime. 125: Spencer 133: JO 141: Stieber 149: Dake 157: JB 165: DT 174: Askren 184: Ruth 197: Nickal 285: Gable Yes, I did some jockeying around to get Dake, DT, and JB in the lineup. But I think it's fair. Dake's domination of Molinaro in the finals was impressive. 157 JB dominated a returning finalist in Poeta. And senior year DT was ultra dominant all year. I also considered Cole Konrad over Gable, but peak Gable (before the WWE etc.) was unreal.
