You may want to watch the video again. He didn’t say “the second airplane that does share duty”. He said “this one” and he said “the back up”. He also made claims that there is zero information to back it up, and contradicts what the Trump administration themselves said about this process. This plane has been for sale since 2020. When the Trump admin made it known they’d like a new plane, Qatar said ‘we got one’. Qatar has been pushing back on the gift to Trump thing since it broke….don’t you think they would have come out and said Biden approached us for the same deal? But….sheep are gonna sheep. Enjoy!

Not amped up at all, just calling a spade a spade. Putin did not invade the US, he invaded Ukraine. He called for the meeting. Ukraine accepted wanting to talk country leader to country leader. Putin balked. He is not serious about ending this thing unless he gets exactly what he wants. And he won’t stop there. The man is evil.

Yes that was a back up plane. But not one of the two jets in service as the regular rotation of AF1 planes. Their tail numbers were 28000 and 29000. ANY PLANE the president boards is call signed Air Force One as soon as he boards. That does not mean any plane is in the regular rotation of the two jets that are regularly used to transport the President. Yes, there are contingency’s (“to serve as a back up for everything”.) Mullin speaks to ‘the back up’ as if one of the two planes in the presidents regular fleet is a back up. It is not. It is one of two planes in a regular rotation. -We’ve gotten way off topic of the question I was asking.

There are very easy to find quotes from the Trump administration on how this process of the Qatar plane began. Unfortunately for Mullin, the Trump administration differs from his story.

Well of course there are contingency plans for everything. But as far as the actual planes used for Air Force 1 on a regular basis, there are two. On a maintenance/operational rotation.

There’s no ‘back up’. There are two planes in regular rotation. One flys, the other is going through its regular maintenance and servicing, then they rotate. And so on. This has been the way for decades.

The only information I have is the words from the current administration themselves, quotes as saying the process began when they were shopping around for a new plane and the Royal Family said we have one for sale, which led to talks, which led to the royal family saying they will gift it. Again, words from the Trump administration. Having said that, and more importantly, I just don’t make a habit of blindly following what politicians with agendas say without anything to back it up like blind sheep. But by all means, go ahead. Have fun with it.

Apparently Mullin doesn’t even know that AF1 is not A plane. But rather two planes that are both in ‘active force’….no backup, no reserve….and either plane is only Air Force One when the President is on board, signified by the Captain’s call: “we are now Air Force One” once the President steps on the plane. So whether he doesn’t know, or is just…what’s the term, gaslighting?….I’m not ready to take him at his word. Reminds me of this other term I keep hearing…something something DS?

Thought the same thing. But an even bigger question I have regarding this discussion is, how is this ‘free’ gift saving the tax payers millions of dollars, when the new planes are still being built, the current planes are still fully functional (actually more functional than the free plane, just not as much luxury) and will have to got through millions of dollars of retrofitting and upgrading, paid for by….tax dollars, before it can be used by one and only one president. Am I missing something? I don’t think many of the people on here realize Air Force One is not A plane.

I do miss that set up down on the dock. But must admit ever since moving it up on the pool patio (lanai in Florida terms) when Milton came through last year, I decided to keep it there. And I have not cooked in the kitchen one time, except to make rice. Every single meal has been on one of those grills. And I rarely eat at restaurants, etc.

When June comes along will you have a new word of the month? Might make hurricane season a little more exciting!!
