  1. Unfortunately there is history there time and again to lend to that. In fact, you could make that same statement, without specifying a D or an R, and it would be even more factual. Ive always felt the politicians will play to the voters who will continuously call out one side while continually turning blind eyes to the other. And….well we get what we get for it.
  2. He has a year and a half to work with Bormet, Bela, and KJ......and an easy road to the Olympics. Loooooook out...
  3. Audio, at least that has been released. I read earlier there is video of this meeting as well, but I don't know if that's true. Flash back to Fall '20, I thought Biden was dead to rights with Bubolinski (sp?) and what not, actually got excited that after all this time hearing about all the deeds we we're finally going to have some real dirt on him. >>>>> back to current time and its been whistleblower after whistleblower after devastating document after devastating document, but none of it has been able to come to fruition when push has come to shove. When matters get to court of law. I also have to square with the fact that Republicans held the senate for all of 17-21, and both for the first half, and nothing came of the Biden's. I wanna believe there's enough to get him out and, at minimum, two completely fresh candidates coming into '24. But.......I don't see it. We're going to be stuck with a choice between a guy who can't speak to the American people because he can't freaking talk, and a guy who can't speak to the American people because prisoner #97857468893 cant hold interviews that day.
  4. This is all stupid. You make your choices, you live with your choices. You don't force the rest of the field to wait to see if your choices worked out for you or not.
  5. Notice how no Trump supporters have any defense at all for what is on the tapes, all they got is trying to figure out a way to make the fact we’ve heard the tapes worse than what they tapes tell us (beyond a reasonable doubt )
  6. Read this morning, obviously no idea it’s level of truth, that Putin has already ordered the death of Prigoszhin.
  7. Says the guy who’s already been in this thread talking about Joe and Hunter.
  8. Well, that didn’t take long. Appreciate your efforts headshuck. But, I’ll bite to say this: I’m at the point I’m tired of hearing about Hunter. Have seen a whoooole lot of smoke over the last 8 years that says his actions have compromised our country. At the point now it’s going on full mute for me until something of real substance that can hold up in a court can come about. Tired of hearing about bulletproof evidence or witnesses…..that can’t be produced when push comes to shove. But anyway….in Russia…
  9. It’s hard to say how this will affect the athletes, there are sooooo many variables at play. Who comes out on top, how does that affect their OC, how does that affect the IOC perspective? Lots and lots of moving parts that are yet to be resolved. The simplest answer could be current status, athletes will have to show they were in no way a part of or in support of this movement. Was just having the following conversation with my wife this morning. The everyday people like you and me in Russia, pledge allegiance to their Russian government, because they have to. They’re not happy, they know there is a better way of life out there, but they also know they have to keep shut and go about whatever it is their day lies ahead of them. I have experience in Russia and the most obvious takeaway I had was how programmed they are to not like us, but once that kinda broke away it’s a different story. People here who talk about how we are programmed and controlled…..really have no idea. But again, deep down the people don’t want the life they have, but that programming runs deep for centuries.
  10. Went a different route last night….seared tuna steaks, diced them up still kinda rare, threw them in a rice mix for stuffed peppers, about 45 min in the smoker. Leftover tuna got an additional 20 min in, then today forged a mix for tuna melts with English muffin, tomato, and Muenster cheese. Lunch was good…
  11. I would start on the grill, wrap real tight and finish in the oven. If you can get some good smoke cooking it indirect with a lower temp, a couple hours in the smoke and then wrapping real tight will do justice. Won’t get the ‘smoke ring’ that people care about, but you’ll get the flavor.
  12. Bout was a mega arms dealer. One of those Russians that never really left the Soviet Union
  13. Wagner are not good people. IF they were to overthrow Putin, it will still be a very very fragile situation.
  14. Don’t you go off and get pissed at people for this very thing. Do better. Or….let people be.
  15. I think it’s the real deal. Been following the news revolving around the Wagner Group for a bit. Their leader seems legit pissed at Russia/Putin and ready to take head on. Could be a civil war brewing in Russia and Ukraine left, for now, to its recovery.
  16. Can transfer all you want, but can only get NIL from school with which you signed original LOI. Never happen. But certainly gives more to think about.
  17. Copy and paste strikes again. Read my post above Or, just drug them up, that’s a lot easier. When someone says they don’t know what can be done about parenting other than just drug them up, and then tries to double down on it…. not sure I can even continue with the conversation with them. They’re either not serious and just trying to be stupid, or they’re too far gone
  18. Wow This mentality is certainly part of the issue. Can’t do anything so just drug them.
  19. I don’t think anyone can honestly distinguish the differences in parenting between the countries without spending ample time in those countries to get a handle on it. You certainly compare and contrast parenting through generations here in the US. Over the course of the 2000’s I have lived in the Great Lakes region, Colorado; and South Florida. Across the board I have seen an increase in parent driven entitlement, along with a parent driven decrease in coping skills. I said somewhere on here previously, we don’t force or teach kids coping skills nearly as much anymore. We don’t force kids into pressure situations with an average or better risk of failure. And often when ‘failure’ occurs, we don’t look at where we came up short and what we can do more or better, we make excuses, blame others, and make the kids feel like it was someone else’s malfeasance, rather than doing what the most successful people in the world do, which is fail over and over until they get it right. We are raising more and more kids like this, while also allowing them to have more and more access to these social media ‘influencers’, which was never around in generations past, and then sending them out in the real world.
  20. And your tremendous contribution to the discussion is appreciated.
  21. Yes will do for now. I’m tired. Enjoy Seattle.
  22. That’s a lot of interesting words to write and yet still not answer my yes/no question. Can we at least agree there is a difference between disarm and regulate.
  23. @mspart I read all of your quotes. Enjoy, and agree with each of them. I would ask in response what legislation is being proposed, or has been, that is asking to disarm the people of the United States, keeping in mind that there is a difference between disarming and well regulating? Can we at least start there, that there is a difference between disarming and regulating? It’s a lot more difficult to find a common ground starting from the extremes, rather than start from the middle and work from there.
