  2. Apparently, Davis endured a minute of getting sprayed with Axe body spray to get three points of extra credit in his economics class. Pulled a 4.0 his first semester. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. If you ever get a chance, the 10th Mountain museum at Vail is pretty cool. The one at Ft. Drum is better, but, it’s at Drum, and that sucks. Plenty of other cool 10th Mountain stuff around. Breckenridge has a nice memorial, and at the top of Tennessee Pass there’s a tablet with all of the names of those KIA/MIA from WWII. Camp Hale, too, obviously. Many of the CO resorts have some connection, and many of them have a memorial of some sort. Steamboat, Aspen, A-Basin, etc. There’s also random stuff down in northern Georgia, in the Dahlonega area where 5th Ranger Training Battalion is located. Didn’t have access to my cell phone when I was there, though. Chrystal Mountain, WA has some material, but never seen it. They have a 10th MTN ski day as well. Tennessee Pass, Ski Cooper, between Leadville and Vail: Pando/Camp Hale, north of Tennessee Pass: Breck:
  4. Seems pretty likely, yeah. I wouldn't be surprised at all if they send out Shunk, Evans, Claw, one of the Lees, Donovan Ball, and a good number of other backups.
  5. And you think Kerk ducked...checks notes...Slavikouski, from Rutgers? The guy that PSU's backup 197 beat? Oh, ok.
  6. Huh? This one is Mylar, carrying a 2’ cube. This is last year: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2023_Chinese_balloon_incident It’s white (not Mylar), carrying a solar array 40’ across and carrying multiple payloads bigger than the entire payload in this incident. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Given that the descriptions of the balloons and their payloads is distinctly different, saying that it’s “obviously the same thing” is a dramatic statement that is pretty demonstrably false. And, why wouldn’t “we” know about it? It’s Mylar. Very shiny. Anyone with a pair of high power binoculars could see it, and a decent camera could pick it up well enough, too. But, it’s in US airspace, so exercise or not, if the public has seen it, they’re going to address it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. They might not know. Or, sending interceptors might be part of it. That’s literally how some military exercises work. Enhances realism. If you don’t know it’s an exercise, it’s a better test of capabilities. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. Well, NORAD doesn’t do those things. For all we know, this could be a US exercise. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Those are things that the US military can do… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. It’s going around. Penn State got hammered by it the last couple weeks. Who would imagine that a sport where you are in extremely close proximity to a half dozen guys, who are in extremely close proximity to other people, five or six days a week, could have people get sick from a highly contagious illness? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. Do you know what ELINT collection and MILDEC are? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. When did he suggest that? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. Per a guy who works at the student health center at PSU, they’ve had a massive spike in flu cases the last couple weeks. Apparently it lingers a while, too. Might explain Nagao, Starocci, Kerk, etc missing matches. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. Is that why food is like half of the monthly budget for the average Russian? Russia is definitely not doing well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. Proud platoon leader of 1/A/1-87 IN and 1/D/1-87 IN. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. The next step in Carl’s master plan is revealed… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. The GI Bill has nothing to do with your pay. FGOs, GOs and Senior NCOs making $150k+ a year are just as eligible for it as a 4-and-out E4. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. Ironically, I had the same coach as not one but two guys who were popped for doping. And, they had both been on the same amateur team as me. Not at the same time but a couple years prior. I have to ask: do you think ALL of the athletes Sam Calavita trains are doping? Helen Maroulis, for example? Or just the Penn State/NLWC athletes? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. Well, it would, as he’d beat Hendrickson in the Round of 32 and Hendrickson could then take 3rd at best, as opposed to 2nd. But, yes, point taken. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. Taking EPO during a weight cut is the last thing, literally, that anyone should be doing. Increased RBC counts that literally thicken your blood, coupled with a dramatically reduced blood plasma volume. The heart pumping soup through your body. Jesus. That’s the sort of mind blowing stupid shit that kills people in their sleep. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Pretty sure that's exactly what one of Biden's EOs does. It strikes the interest, preventing the debt from growing, and caps payments at 5% of their discretionary income. Did you apply?
  23. Hardy chose neutral. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Huh? Who said anything about a private company? Profit? Raises? Bonuses? Shareholders? The discussion was about the government paying off or otherwise erasing the debt of a person who had performed public service. The GI Bill. Doctors and teachers pursuing loan forgiveness. https://www.military.com/education/money-for-school/student-loan-repayment.html?amp Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. Somewhere between 30 and 40% of doctors pursue loan forgiveness. 70% of them have debt after graduating. More than 20% have $300,000 or more in debt. Do you want to live in a country where only the wealthy can go to medical school? Or do you want smart passionate, talented people, who might not be able to rely on First Bank of Mommy and Daddy to pay their way? My neighbor is the managing doctor of the ER in a mountain community here in CO. She has personally saved hundreds of lives. She has also had her loans forgiven. Is she worthy enough?
