  1. Agreed. Presidential power has no bound. Therefore no law can apply to a sitting president.
  2. What? Every human being has a constitutional right to say anything they want for any reason they want on any platform they want at any time they want! Outrage! @jross must be beside himself rn! They wouldn’t do that on x,y or z.
  3. I'd like to see Ga stay because it is coming around to sanity and MTG would prolly emigrate.
  4. Joe Biden is an American. Of course he is racist.
  5. If I had viable transportation options there might be some foundation for debate. Some cities try to to regulate traffic in specific areas with exorbitant parking fees. I'm good with that.
  6. If a 3rd party candidate garnered enough support, they'd be in. I remember Ross Perot being on a debate stage.
  7. Reason for what?
  8. Just don't break the law? No fines and penalties? Municipalities and counties throughout the land will go broke. Totally disagree with you on every level, so all is right with the world today.
  9. I think of pineapples and metamucil.
  10. Holy smokes. Dude made his own blank ammo! Who would try this anywhere but a small town? Glad his grandkid is going to be OK. https://nypost.com/2023/10/02/officiant-michael-gardner-accidentally-shoots-grandson-at-nebraska-wedding/
  11. You aren't perplexed, this is definitely focused anger.
  12. It is either a corrupt obstruction or a corrupt extension but never a check or balance.
  13. Wouldn't you be happy with that outcome?
  14. We should look at model which is predicated on income and assets. For serious crimes, especially violent ones, raise it dramatically for people with more resources rather than lower it for the ones with fewer resources. For lesser crimes, cashless bail works for me. There is an uncomfortable middle for me and I’m sure everyone else. It shouldn’t be solely the bail system either. Fines and penalties need to be income based as well. For example, if Bill Gates got caught drunk driving why shouldn’t he pay a billion dollar fine or more? 10000 dollars means nothing to him so it is not punishment.
  15. Sadly and pathetically, the judicial branch is indeed controlled by one of the political parties. You say it so casually because it is true. It should be appalling.
  16. Are you advocating for campaign finance reform? I'm on board with that. I'm not defending the cashless bail system but I don't think anyone can argue the existing system is fair.
  17. When was the golden age of crime and punishment in the USA? Was it immediately prior to the leftist takeover? Or is there some type of reform happening because there is widespread discontent with the existing judicial system?
  18. When perplexed you lash out with insults?
  19. I hate people cutting other people's words out of context. But I live with it. Please provide examples of murderers walking away. You are a pearl clutcher because the things that anger you so much don't even exist in the way you shout about them existing. And you are angry about a lot of things.
  20. Again with the "sympathy" narrative. Definition of crazy is doing the same thing over and over but expecting different results each time. This is why conservatives resist change to broken systems. You like clutching pearls, so knock yourself out.
  21. Give me an example of a murderer walking free and I'll explain why they walked as if you are five. By partisan - do you mean that Trump's status in MAGA something other than entirely unique in history? There is no partisanship. Just unbiased observation. I didn't even mention J6. Less than 15 years ago a senator from MN rightly resigned because he took sexually inappropriate photos with a sleeping woman. No nudity, no physical contact, probably not even a law broken. You are worried shoplifters and drug addicts.
  22. Debt ain't woke.
  23. My opinions are not even based on justice or virtue signalling. It is impractical to incarcerate so many for so long. And many scream for more. Mass incarceration hasn't worked in the past, it is not working now and it is not going to work in the future. It is a waste. I agree personal accountability is gone. Biggest example of that is the leading candidate for president. He just lost a lawsuit for sexually assaulting someone, he is in court rn to determine the punishment for his decades of fraud and he faces 91 counts of felony indictments. His supporters - half the country! - don't blame him, they blame the deep state and a weaponized justice system!
  24. I did not acknowledge that. Crime definitely went down during the pandemic and then definitely shot up afterwards. I'll reserve judgement until it stabilizes. What I do acknowledge is that we have too many people in jail.
