  1. Funny, I came up with a score of Rutgers 22 - Arizona State 14 with the listed ASU starters vs the Rutgers starters.
  2. I posted that same lineup yesterday in the PAC 12 schedule for this weekend thread here. https://intermatforums.com/topic/143-pac-12-wrestling-events-nov-12-thru-nov-14-2022/ My GUESS is they are going with a lot of the 2nd string guys (or 3rd string?) and keeping most of the starters for the tournament on Sunday. But that is just what I said it was - a GUESS.
  3. If one wrestling team has a dual match with another wrestling team and SEVEN of the 10 starters for one team are not in the lineup for that dual.........is it REALLY an actual dual or just an imaginary event? It certainly wouldn't be a representative example of one of the two teams, i.e., a team without 7 of their 10 starters is nothing at all like that team with all 10 starters in the lineup.
  4. Here's a url link to where this article can be seen online: https://scarletknights.com/news/2022/11/10/wrestling-2022-22-opening-weekend.aspx
  5. According to a web article found on the Rutgers wrestling website the following is the projected lineup for Arizona State in their match vs Rutgers on Saturday. According to this lineup ASU will be without their starters at 125 lbs, 157 lbs, as well as 197 lbs and 285 lbs and possibly at 133 lbs, 141 lbs and 174 lbs.
  6. "listed in the 2023 now". What does that mean? He's not listed on the 2023 ASU team roster or on WrestleStat's roster for ASU. Did you mean to say he is now a part of the 2023 Arizona State recruiting class? And, if so, where would one see evidence of that?
  7. Looks like the change of scenery has done him good.
  8. SATURDAY Nov. 12, 2022 Stanford @ the Mountaineer Inv. - Boone, N.C. - All Day Cal Poly & Little Rock @ the Tiger Style Inv. - Kansas City, MO. - All Day Arizona State @ Rutgers - 3 p.m. MT (5 p.m. E.T.) - Bethlehem, PA SUNDAY Nov. 13, 2022 Oregon State vs. Linfield College and Clackamas C.C. - 2 p.m. PT - Corvallis, OR SUNDAY Nov. 13, 2022 & MONDAY Nov. 14, 2022 Arizona State @ Journeyman/Defense Soap Collegiate Classic - Bethlehem, PA - All Day
  9. I looked at this matchup several weeks ago - prior to the news that Teemer was out for the year - and even with Teemer in the lineup ASU loses this dual vs. MO. But here's how I see it going (without Teemer): 125 - ASU - Courtney by Dec over Surtin - 3-0 ASU 133 - ASU - McGee by Dec over Brown - 6-0 ASU 141 - MO - Hart by Dec over Vasquez - 6-3 ASU 149 - MO - Mauller by Dec over Parco - 6-6 157 - MO - Jacques by MD over Ramos or Wilner - 10-6 MO 165 - MO - O'Toole by MD over Negron - 14-6 MO 174 - MO - Mocco by Dec over Valencia - 17-6 MO 184 - ASU - Montalvo by Dec over Harman - 17-9 MO 197 - MO - Elam by Dec over Norfleet - 20-9 MO 285 - ASU - Schultz by Dec over Elam - 20-12 MO Plug Teemer into the lineup at 157 lbs and ASU wins by Dec at 157 lbs - which ultimately changes the final score by 3 points on both sides, i.e., 17-15 MO.
  10. Stanford's nine weight class champions at the 2022 Menlo Open tournament yesterday 125 lbs - True Freshman Nico Provo (4-0) 133 lbs - RS Junior Jackson DiSario (5-0) 149 lbs - RS Junior Jaden Abas (4-0) 157 lbs - True Freshman Daniel Cardenas (5-0) 165 lbs - RS Senior Shane Griffith (4-0) 174 lbs - RS Senior Tyler Eischens (4-0) 184 lbs - True Freshman Brook Byers (4-0) 197 lbs - Junior Nik Stemmet (4-0) 285 lbs - Senior Seamus O'Malley (4-0) Other Stanford wrestlers who placed at the 2022 Menlo Open were the following: 2nd place finishers for Stanford: 157 lbs - Junior - Charlie Darracott 165 lbs - True Freshman - Hunter Garvin 184 lbs - True Freshman - Jack Darrah 3rd place finishers for Stanford: 141 lbs - Junior Jason Miranda 184 lbs - Senior Nikolas Addison 4th place finishers for Stanford: 285 lbs - Junior Peter Ming (wrestled unattached) So 16 of the 22 Stanford wrestlers who competed yesterday at the Menlo Open placed at that tournament. I have to wonder if any of these three True Freshman who took first place in their weight class yesterday are going to be in the starting lineup this season, i.e., Nico Provo at 125 lbs (I'd have to think YES in his case), Daniel Cardenas at 157 lbs and Brook Byers at 184 lbs.
  11. Interesting. IF he had suffered a high grade pectoral muscle tear it seems highly unlikely that he would be out in public walking around unless he was on major pain medications. And even then it would be painful. If you've ever suffered a pectoral muscle tear you know how very painful that injury is. It's worse than broken ribs or pleurisy IMO (yes - I've had all three). Either that or he has a remarkable pain threshold. The source of this - as far as I know - was on Pat Mineo's twitter page (The Wrestling Room). Or at least that's where I first saw this being mentioned. https://twitter.com/MrPatMineo/status/1587432440456482817
  12. Stanford wins nine of the ten weight classes. The only weight class they didn't win was 141 lbs where the two finalists were both from CS Bakersfield. Stanford had three weight classes (157, 165 & 184) where both of the finalists were from Stanford.
  13. Maybe he was still sleeping during that match.
  14. Looks like Lajoie lost in SV OT to a RS Freshman from CS Bakersfield who went 5-4 last season at 141 lbs (as a True FR) in his 2nd Championship round match.
  15. Stanford's Nico Provo (125 lbs) opens his college career with a first period win by FALL.
  16. And that first match is underway
  17. First match is Stanford's Jackson DiSario vs. Michael Torres of Menlo College
  18. Apparently so. I didn't know that either. Transferred from Nebraska. But WrestleStat has him listed on their CSUB roster so somebody was aware of it.
  19. The four Stanford wrestlers who are not competing today at the Menlo Open are Luciano Arroyo (SR) 141 lbs, Kyle Rowan (JR) 133 lbs, Sam Beckett (FR) 165 lbs and Luke Duthie (FR) 174 lbs.
  20. According to the brackets for the Menlo Open Stanford's heavyweight, Peter Ming, is competing unattached.
  21. Hunter Garvin (FR) is also competing for Stanford at the Menlo Open (at 165 lbs)
  22. And the brackets for the Menlo Open have just been released (can be seen via TrackWrestling)
  23. Twenty-two of the twenty-six members of the Stanford wrestling team are listed as entrants for the 2022 Menlo Open tournament today. 125 lbs - Nico Provo (FR) and Suhas Chundi (JR) 133 lbs - Jackson DiSario (SR) and Wyatt Richter (FR) Richter is listed on the Stanford roster and Wrestlestat at 125 lbs 141 lbs - Jason Miranda (JR) and Chayse Lajoie (FR) 149 lbs - Jaden Abas (RS JR) and Elijah Cleaver (JR) 157 lbs - Charlie Darracott (JR) and Dawson Sihavong (SR) and Anthony Williams (Grad Student) and Daniel Cardenas (FR) 165 lbs - Shane Griffith (RS SR) and Fabian Santillan (SR) - Santillan is listed on Stanford's roster at 149 lbs 174 lbs - Tyler Eischens (RS SR) 184 lbs - Nick Addison (SR) and Brook Byers (FR) and Jack Darrah (FR) 197 lbs - Nik Stemmet (JR) 285 lbs - Peter Ming (JR) and Seamus O'Malley (SR)
  24. Check that...........19-0..........Dom Demas won by MD and not by DEC. In the fifth match Luka Wick won by Tech Fall and CP now leads 24-0.
