  1. I could feel my I.Q. going down the moment I - foolishly - looked at this thread.
  2. I know he was on the Penn State roster for two years and then entered the transfer portal in 2025. But what became of him since entering the portal in 2025? I don't see where he was ever signed by anyone for 2025-2026 and he's not in the current transfer portal.
  3. So the geeky guy was correct.
  4. I saw a video on YouTube the other day, with the geeky Penn State guy, whose name escapes me, and according to him Lorenzo Norman is going to either Penn State or Oklahoma State.
  5. Wrong, in point of fact they can NOT do that as the following information about the new term of the "Ghost transfer" makes clear: 1. The "Ghost Transfer" Crackdown The NCAA recently adopted emergency legislation to stop "ghost transfers"—players who withdraw from school to join another program without entering the portal during a valid window. Any school that signs or allows such a player to participate now faces automatic, severe penalties: Head Coach Suspension: The head coach is suspended for six games (50% of the regular season). Budget Fines: The school is fined 20% of its entire football budget. 2. Remaining Transfer Options While the standard Division I path is effectively blocked until January 2027, a few specific options may still exist: Coaching Change Exception: If a team's head coach is fired or leaves, a special 15-day window opens for those players starting five days after a new coach is hired. Transfer to Non-NCAA Levels: Players can often transfer more freely to NAIA or Junior College (JUCO) programs, which do not always follow the same portal window restrictions as the NCAA. Walk-On Status: A player can technically leave and attempt to walk on elsewhere, but they still cannot be recruited or have contact with other coaches until they are in the portal. The recent NCAA "Ghost Transfer" crackdown, effective as of April 1, 2026, applies across all Division I sports, not just football. [1, 2, 3, 4] While the issue was largely driven by football, the NCAA officially adopted the new rules for all D1 sports to ensure consistency, prevent the issue from spreading, and ensure accountability.
  6. PAC 12 wrestling additions
  7. My mistake - I thought this was a thread on STANFORD. How silly of me.
  8. Since nobody else has done Penn State 125 lbs Luke Lilledahl - 3rd yr JR 133 lbs Masanosuke Ono – RS SR Marcus Blaze - 2nd yr SO (Redshirt) 141 lbs Nathan Desmond – RS FR Braeden Davis - 4th yr SR (Redshirt) 149 lbs Shayne Van Ness – RS SR 157 lbs P. J. Duke - 2nd yr SO OR Tyler Kasak – RS JR 165 lbs Tyler Kasak – RS JR OR Mitchell Messenbrink – RS SR 174 lbs Tyler Kasak – RS JR OR Mitchell Messenbrink – RS SR 184 lbs Rocco Welsh – RS JR 197 lbs Josh Barr – RS JR 285 lbs Cole Mirasola – RS SO
  9. WOW - it's difficult for me to believe that the same guy who was disqualified in his earlier match against Lilledahl for being called for stalling FIVE TIMES would stall. Why I'm speechless to hear (and see) he was called for stalling again. This from the same guy whose own coach called him disgraceful for the non-aggressive way he wrestled. THIS is just difficult to fathom.
  10. Interesting fact worth mentioning. According to Google A.I. the 2025 Penn State wrestling team had 135.5 team points on the morning of day three. This morning - in 2026 - Penn State has 153 team points. So they are 17.5 points ahead of where they were last year at this time.
  11. Anyone who idiotically tries to suggest that officials are trying to benefit one athlete (or team) over another A. Is making it clear to me that they are a fool and B. Have never ever been an official of any kind. C. Embarrasses themselves every time they bring up this B.S. D. Needs to get a real life rather than living a life based on imaginary & false conspiracies.
  12. I count 8 of 10 Stanford wrestlers who are either the # 1 or # 2 seed for the A.C.C. tournament (and 2 # 7 seeds). And Stanford has been without two of their projected starters this season in Hunter Garvin (165 lbs) and Lorenzo Norman (174 lbs) for nearly the entire season.
  13. The "era" that is much more in need of ending is the Jimmy Cinnabon "era". I'd fully support that ending immediately.
  14. It's nice to see Arizona State in 3rd place in the team scores. Their dual meet record this season was pretty dismal. Nice to see them showing well at the championships. The finals is clearly dominated by Oklahoma State and to a lesser extent Iowa State but ASU has three finalists in the Larkin brothers and Ruiz.
  15. What video?
  16. Romney hasn't wrestled since December 29th. And his last match this season was a match that he was medically forfeited. How can you be surprised that he's not competing?
  17. Ok - I misunderstood what you said. ESPN+ is also the primary channel for the Big 12 tournament (mat by mat coverage)
  18. The ESPN UNLIMITED (all ESPN CHANNELS) and FOX ONE BUNDLE was announced as early as last September if I recall correctly. https://www.fox.com/espn I signed up for as soon as I could and that - as I mentioned before - was either in October or November. I looked up the cost of B1G+ just recently and what I saw online said it was $39 per month. I'll look again I guess but I doubt I'll sign up for it even if it is $13. Yes ESPN+ is included. As I said above the ESPN UNLIMITED is just that - it includes ALL ESPN channels. And you are correct that ESPN+ doesn't have anything to do with the NCAA wrestling tournament but I use it for many other sports.
  19. I signed up for a bundle package last October or November which included the ALL ESPN (a.k.a. ESPN UNLIMITED) and FOX NOW streaming channels. The ESPN portion cost basically $30/month and the FOX NOW basically cost $10 /month. I mention the FOX NOW because is includes the Big Ten Network (and other things of value to me). Last time I checked the Big Ten + subscription costs the same as I pay for both the ALL ESPN and FOX NOW streaming channels, i.e., $39/month. I'll do without the ESPN+ since any truly outstanding matches will likely be uploaded to YouTube in a day or two after they occur.
  20. Since I refuse to have anything to do with Flo that is a no as far as I'm concerned.
  21. Maybe someone else has already done this and I haven't read far enough into this thread but the WrestleStat dual comparison for a Penn State @ Oklahoma State dual has Penn State winning 29-3. The only match they show OSU winning is 141 lbs against Penn State's Braden Davis. Penn State @ Oklahoma State dual comparison link
  22. I have the ESPN Unlimited or All ESPN which I purchased as a bundle with FOX NOW for $39 / month but I recently canceled both because with my subscription to HULU (for $12/month) I get all of the ESPN programming. My ESPN subscription doesn't end until the first week of March but when it does I'll be keeping the HULU subscription and renewing the FOX NOW subscription for $20 / month. The reason you can get the ESPN programming (all of it) thru HULU is they are both owned by Disney (which I hate to support but will do so if it's a deal that is too good to pass up).
  23. For a University that is said to have a LOT of very intelligent people either in their administration or their student body it's amazing how insanely moronic Stanford is when it comes to webcasting a wrestling match. Anyone who - like me - TRIED to watch the last wrestling match for Stanford vs. Pittsburgh knows what I mean. The ONE AND ONLY CAMERA looked as if it was bolted to the rafters in the ceiling and from there you could barely make out that there were some people on the mat. It looked like the NON-MOVING camera was 10,000 feet in the air. There was also no audio whatsoever and no way of knowing who was on the mat. It was the most idiotic excuse for a webcast of a wrestling match I've ever encountered. Stanford = the home of morons when it comes to wrestling matches.
