    Wells was a beast on his feet in high school. The kind of guy that would score 10 different kinds of takedowns in a match. He has been very cautious his last few matches, which paid off today. Once he gains a little more confidence at this level I think we see him open it up a bit.

    At the beginning of the match the announcer said Keckeisen is a lanky wrestler and Plott is a little thicker, or something like that. Funny how people have different perception cuz I'd swear Plott is a tad taller.

    Minnesota Elite, coached by Chad Erickson and Dakota Trom, have a lot of the top MN high school kids too. Robideau(s), Bissel(s), and Friedrichs brothers, Alex Braun, Logan Swenson.

    Pinnacle out of Minnesota has a ton of prospects in D1.

    Minnesota has tapped into mostly Max's AWA location with Ethan Riddle last year and Wyatt Duchateau, Charlie Millard, and Silas Dailey this year.

    Some overachievers there, career-wise, based on recruiting rankings. The Dardanes had a rough NCAA that year, seeded 6 and 2 but did not place. Oddly enough both the twins got knocked out of the tournament by an Edinboro wrestler.

    Illinois twitter says, postponed due to internal medical condition with the Northwestern team. Anyone know what's up....flu/covid, or maybe skin issues?

    Typical Brands interview.... Reporter 1: Coach, what were your thoughts on the match tonight? TB: WHHHAT WERRRE MY THOOOUGHTS?! Next question. Reporter 2: Were you happy with the win tonight? TB: Define happy. Reporter 3: What were your takeaways from the match? TB: We like our guys. Reporter 4: Any upcoming news for the die-hard Iowa fans? TB: You've been around long enough to know not to ask that question.

    Michael Blockhus over #2 Jared Franek 5-4. Great to see the Iowa kid go into Carver and get the win.

    The Ferraris and a bunch of their extended family moved to Texas, for some type of business venture I believe, but they are originally from the Jersey area.

    Well Northern Colorado did free up Baylor Fernandes' money.

    Willie said that AJ has called Arizona State, Nebraska, Oregon State, Iowa State, and Northern Colorado, offering his services for the right price.

    Johnson doesn't look like he skips leg day very often.

    They are around #12 in the coach's poll, which is dual meet ranking. They are definitely more of a dual team, with all 10 weights ranked, but none currently in the top 8, which is what they base the team tournament rankings on. Currently 5-0 and barring more injuries, I don't see them losing more than 2 or 3 duals this season.

    Is anyone arguing that? Eggum was an assistant for all 3 of those btw. If you think everyone should be fired that hasn't won 3 national titles in 7 years, then there is maybe 2 people on the planet that would qualify as a replacement.

    That was the golden era that everyone remembers, but it wasn't until his 11th year that J finished higher than 7th place at NCAA and his first 7 seasons, he had slightly lower dual winning percentage than Eggum's tenure. Nothing against J but people only remember the good years. The truth is in today's era the teams that have the biggest donors will be the ones that win.

    I don't know that at all. The only people I hear complaining are fair weather fans on social media that maybe wrestled in high school but don't follow college much. They always want to bring up JRob, blah, blah. They have very selective memory about that era.

    I don't know who wins but I bet we get at least one lung timeout.
