There are ~18,000 police jurisdictions in the US...UB claims half of them get old military equipment but doesn't say what they are. Claims what my friends say about my local police department and the surrounding non-big city departments is wrong even though they themselves are police officers/agents. And then he continues to try and argue that I am somehow wrong when admitting he doesn't know but just bets I am....LOL You can't make this up.

Of course they don't give me a rundown of all the equipment of surrounding communities, but we have spoken about people claiming police forces are becoming more militarized based on the stupid MSM and they have indicated that people think everyone has these "tanks" and such, but it's usually the bigger cities in our state that do and none around our area other than the big city we live next too. I grew up around police...my older stepbrother was a cop for like 30 years in a bad city in Illinois and did like 3 ride alongs with him, did several here in the big city I live by with one of my dad's friends, and started to fill out the application, but decided against it for several different reasons. Also, like I said I have good friends i that are currently in that profession. Thus, I know I am biased and I view most in the profession as true hero's and 100% selfless for what they do (of course there are bad apples, but that doesn't define an entire industry like some like to do).

SMH...be surprised about what?? That there in fact is "military equipment"?? That isn't an assumption...I know for a fact. I know a lot of the police officers here including the ex-chief who is one of my good friends, not to mention one of my other best buddies who works in the investigative arm of the FBI and works with pretty much every police department in the state....so nice try. They would absolutely laugh and shake their head at how ridiculous some of the things you and young braves are saying.

SMH...here I go...you trying to make an argument about police budgets and how well they are armed to bad decisions being made by officers in an isolated terrible situation holds zero water to your argument. Second...high budgets (whatever that means to you) and "military equipment" (again whatever that means to you) is not, nor has ever been a solution for this whole country, ex. the town I live in doesn't have what I am going to assume you would consider military equipment, nor do most of the surrounding well populated communities.

Thank God you are not a police chief...sending 2-4 officers to a house party fight with deadly weapons is completely asinine and totally unsafe. 2-4 police could EASILY get over and thus would cause the police to use deadly force in order to not have that happen...it actually increases the chance of very bad things from happening. However, if you show up in force it would instantly stop the fight, and the kid with the knife would be subdued rather quickly and in a non-violent way. You would be fired very quickly if you were chief.

You are conflating two issues in your point that aren't necessarily related...you wanting them to be to show how "bad" conservative thinking is doesn't make it so...i.e., wanting there to be money spent on local police to ensure safety does not equal support for big government. You trying to make that connection is both naive and well, stupid.

Have you ever been a police officer? Have you ever done ride alongs? Have you ever sat down and spoken with police officers to understand what they have to do and what they have to deal with?? How do you know what each city/town needs in terms of police force and their equipment? If you were a police chief and you got a call come across the radio that said fight with deadly weapons involved, what would your reaction be? How many police would you send?

Once again, you claim Israel doesn't care that they are killing civilians, and I, and others, have stated that if Israel truly didn't care about killing civilians that the war would have been over in about a week. THUS, I asked, if you agreed with that statement...i.e., Would the war be over if Israel truly didn't care about civilian deaths???

I have not commented on the rape case as I am not in a position right now to look into it, so I won't comment on that until I can look it up. But my guess it is a nothing burger given how you comment on things that you actually no nothing about.

Again, do you know how local governments work? Like in city and towns? Do you know if this city has "high government spending"? Man, you're making HUGE leaps in terms of your conclusions and assertations without knowing anything about how things work, or even the specifics of the situation you are commenting on. Did you ever think that because of HOW they are financing their police force, that is the REASON the city has such a low crime rate?? SMH

It's funny that the local people of that city felt like they wanted to spend the money on the vehicle?? And that somehow in your head equates to this being about the GOP overall?? Not to mention how does spending the money on the vehicle equate to wanting more government and more spending? Do you think maybe the purchase was proposed, and it fit within the current budget?? Yeah...I have a 2nd Aunt that lives out there and she says it's both...the legislature and Newsome. It just seems something isn't and hasn't been right in that state with all the people leaving and the resulting tax money deficit.

Man...seems CA is just falling apart...I read that there is a huge budget deficit and they are going to cut funding to law enforcement and prisons, among a few other things. How can people say that Newsom is any good with a straight face??

Nice way to try and change the question slightly to belittle a stupid point you have. The answer for me is, I am not sure if I bomb the house. A lot of questions need to be answered and intel is needed. How big up the food chain is the person? Who are the civilians in the house? How many? Why are the civilians there? Are they kidnapped or are the enabling the terrorist in some way. Can a sniper take the terrorists out? Etc. Etc. Again, a simple yes or no doesn't work in your line of thinking.

War is not comparable to police situations so again, terrible "logic" on your part. And you consistently ask the same question over and over, you are starting to sound even more like TPT. It is never "ok" to kill innocent people, even in war; however, if the evil scum terrorist group uses human shields, then if anything happens to the human shields the responsibility falls on the evil scum terrorist group that used them as human shields. As people have pointed out MANY MANY times that you fail to even acknowledge because you hate Israel, is that Israel is trying to do everything in their power to keep civilian deaths to a minimum...if they didn't care about civilians the war would have been over a week after it started.

Yeah, my neighbor's aunt passed away from cancer and they tried to put Covid as one of the causes on the medical file and certificate...they fought it really hard as she was already receiving her last rights and the family was notified that she was going to pass any day. And when she passed she had no symptoms of Covid, but they tested her anyway and it was positive. Absolutely ridiculous!
