We have people here who want to drastically cut defense spending when the larger, stupider budget item is servicing the debt - one trillion a year for interest. Someone thinks it’s our responsibility to pay $50 million a year for condoms to prevent HIV among a population that won’t exercise their own initiative to prevent a disease that has known causes for decades. Then in other parts of the world we spend millions to promote the activities that cause the disease. We need a Congress that spends only the money they collect on only the programs that make sense. We’ve already got the President.
