  1. Same here, and what a terrific selection.
  2. That reads like a list of over-regulation more than a critique of Musk.
  3. Correct. And they are working as an addendum, or task force, of the Office of Management and Budget, not a new department. They themselves can only make recommendations, of which due to the qualifications of the men involved, we expect to be more sensible and considerate than if done by a traditional D.C. operator who lacks business (Mitch Daniels)) expertise.
  4. If there’s nothing actionable in the report it is criminal to release it.
  5. It’s all going to be reported online - any and everybody can watchdog it.
  6. It was a vote as to whether or not to release the report on Friday, not that it would be released on Friday. What if that vote was to not release it? Does anybody believe that if it was detrimental to his appointment that at least the detrimental parts won’t be leaked? With all those staffers involved?
  7. The last I heard, his accuser was in prison for attempted blackmail. And the DoG dropped their investigation and declined to bring charges.
  8. The complaint was that he’s not rich enough, not even a billionaire.
  9. Bill Ackman said he thinks it’s a terrific idea. The fact that it’s going to be run through the OMB, means that it’s going to follow the form @VakAttack desires, just not the personnel.
  10. Like shaking hands after the match. I wonder if privately, Trump delivered Melania’s sentiments.
  11. It’s a sign that K Street still wields influence. Scott more closely fit the mold of successful businessmen offering their skills for improvement.
  12. More terrifying than the AGs who were in contempt of Congress?
  13. She tried to justify it, claiming they had bad confrontations at houses that displayed Trump signs.
  14. You probably believe Trump would have been better off to have put his money in an index fund.
  15. There’s nothing more funny about this than the left’s response. It’s set up more like a task force than a department, it has a termination date. What’d he say, 492 agencies? It’s been reported for decades that the bureaucracy is rife with redundancy and waste, inefficiently interfering in problems that don’t exist. After working at the department of labor, one Thomas Sowell said he learned that a large portion of the work, and top priority, was to ensure its own existence, with little or no concern whether it helped anyone. They’ve got a year and a half to do what the GAO hasn’t, because it’s staffed by career bureaucrats.
  16. Where to start? Equity overload: Federal department keeps 294 DEI staffers on payroll, most with six-figure salaries https://archive.is/g5xNM
