  1. Those are all available right now if you’re willing to relocate.
  2. He’ll be able to take down the opposition and pin them to their commitments.
  3. Bless your little heart.
  4. I’ve only managed to progress to calling it twix.
  5. You don’t say.
  6. It’s one of several filings that have been expected and discussed since the indictment. It will be decided by the Supreme Court, if that gives you comfort.
  7. Based on merit. He is the leader of the Republican Party. Like I said, Trump has endorsed Jordan.
  8. You read the link? There is precedence.
  9. Impeachment and conviction first.
  10. Yes, it’s been brought up before that there is no requirement to be a member to be the speaker. Trump has endorsed Jordan, another former wrestler (he beat John Smith) but has also allowed that he himself could fill in on a temporary basis if it is desired.
  11. Good read by Will Scharf: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1709994666467192942.html ”A short while ago in federal court in Washington, D.C., President Trump filed a motion to dismiss the case pending against him there for his alleged actions in the aftermath of the 2020 elections. The motion cites presidential immunity as a ground to dismiss the case in its entirety. This is a very big deal. The motion persuasively argues that the D.C. case should be dismissed, and if past practice is any guide all proceedings could and should be stayed while this issue is litigated fully. Notably, this same reasoning should apply to the ongoing Georgia prosecution as well.”
  12. They had to employ a translator.
  13. The uniparty is what you’re speaking of. The lobbyists have so much power and influence over congress. Gaetz spoke about it today: https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1709400930482000060.html
  14. What is it, something like seventeen miles in Texas? The Border Patrol is still so tied up with processing that there’s no one to patrol the border.
  15. I didn’t hear about any gates being welded open during Trump’s administration and the way he reduced the number of border crossings would suggest that if it happened, it was unbeknownst to him. Any logical thinking person should be able to look at those gates and recognize them as personnel gates, that will allow water to pass through easily. Looking at the small debris collected at the bottom of both the wall and the gates shows that this, indeed, has been happening. You can see that the water current flows in the direction the camera is pointing. These gates/doors open against that current, which would act to increase any pressure that might be applied. The fence/wall is designed to allow water to flow through when the gates/doors are closed. Their size and shape are personnel design. Maybe critters, too. You be careful what you read. Sense ain’t so common anymore.
  16. From south of our border to Ukraine, the lives lost, damaged, and destroyed due to this administration are innumerable, but to an unaffected leftist, it’s bliss.
  17. I hope you meant “slimmest.” I heard one of my senators saying something about the republicans only being one half of one third of the government. That means nothing, even with the slimmest of margins, they control half of Congress. They control the branch that controls government spending. All spending is supposed to originate in the House. As to how to deal with a Senate and President of a different party, they first need to stay together, and then appeal to the people. Right now, the majority is for cutting spending and against sending money to Ukraine. And they don’t care if a few national parks get temporarily closed in the process. We need leadership that does the will of the people and utilizes the authority they were elected to.
  18. The second one is another for the “entirely false” category.
  19. Next time you need a flood gate to handle two and a half inches of rain over a three month season just let me know Bob. I’ll be happy to help.
  20. No sir. I’m saying that any claim that the welded open gates in the border wall are “flood gates” is absurd. Their placement and design, along with the design of the wall itself, betray this claim. You’ve been hoodwinked again.
  21. Odd that you use that term. Being from Kansas, I would have thought you’d noticed how farmers dealt with fences that need to cross creeks and such. I guess not. But as you’ll notice in this link, flood gates tend to be wide and rather short. The gates in the border wall are tall and narrow. Just like you’d use for humans to pass through. Flood gates also have the hinges on top, human doors or gates have hinges on the side. https://lefence.com/specialty-fences/water-gap-fencing-solutions/ Common sense ain’t so common, is it Bob.
  22. It certainly added context to the absurdity that these were flood gates, welded open to allow all that water to walk over to the gate to pass through, instead of going between the tubes and over the maybe inch tall bottom plate.
  23. I knew you’d want to know.
  24. Rep. Henry Cuellar carjacked in Washington, D.C. by 3 armed robbers, his office said https://www.usatoday.com/story/news/politics/2023/10/03/rep-henry-cuellar-carjacked/71041407007/
