  1. they had several of their best wrestlers last year on medical or olympic redshirt. they will be fierce this year. Thanks for the incredible breakdown @ILLINIWrestlingBlog. This is the stuff that makes wrestling forums worthwhile
  2. Maybe then 165 through 197 could look like this: McClane, Ruiz, Fayzullaev, Valencia.
  3. 125: Figueroa 133: Chlebove 141: Ysaguirre 149: Vasquez 157: Larkin 165: Ruiz 174: Valencia 184: Fayzullaev 197: Acciardi 285: Schultz
  4. I had three severe grade three concussions in the span of a single year. I'm not sure if it was that, or the lead paint in the walls of my room, but I think my personality was forever changed after that. Concussion is a good reason for a break. As a devils advocate, it would be something that might be easy to fake for a medical forfeit if needed
  5. I can empathize with your situation. I used to be a die hard 76ers fan but have had a hard time stomaching them after their star refuses to get in good shape for the season, and when they lose in the playoffs, he blames other teammates, calling them out by name. I won't root for them until Joel Embiid is gone
  6. Thanks for the updates @nhs67
  7. 125: Richard Figueroa 133: Lucas Byrd 141: Andrew Alirez 149: Ty Watters 157: Tyler Kasak 165: Mitchell Mesenbrink 174: Keegan O'Toole 184: Parker Keckeisen 197: Stephen Little 285: Wyatt Hendrickson
  8. This can be a catch-all thread for random thoughts. I heard a funny quote today that made me LOL: "The Western World is run by the mediocre children of accomplished people"
  9. I think I have the last three years, although in different formats. I need to come up for air from some things that people are expecting from me and I will package it together.
  10. I am sorry to be a duck, but I have only a couple years of transfer data and none of it is actually linked to results
  11. In any event, Howard is no longer on the roster
  12. I'll take Keckeisen over Starocci.
  13. I guessed 177/184 but I it was just a hunch - probably wrong
  14. gotta be. none of these others have that level of rivalry
  15. I would favor Crookham in folkstyle right now
  16. In my opinion, the 50 was a bit much for a number of reasons: the Fed have the dual mandate of stable prices and full employment. these are both still within target range. although unemployment is trending upward, now with U3 at 4.2 in August, the Fed is trying to get ahead of that. inflation is not at risk of going far below target. in the Fed's view, 50 was needed. i would have started at 25. I also think its odd to be more aggressive so close to an election, given how many people conflate the economy with the part of the current president. I also think the forward guidance was way too dovish. As if to imply the neutral rate will be back closer to where it had been pre-pandemic. I don't buy that, barring some miraculous fiscal balancing act
  17. Hard to predict so far ahead. Right now, Blaze and Duke are some of the most impressive. Some of the heavies might take longer to develop but Cody Merrill, Feldman (at 97KG), Christian Carroll, etc
  18. Flo is reporting Cannon back to Northwestern as said above. Separately, Peter Ming has attempted to certify for Stanford, and was recently featured in a post by the school, seeming to indicate that he has been accepted to grad school there and will return for a year. Finally, Sidney Flores from the Air Force who was technically in the portal after not wrestling a couple years, has decided to pursue his full-time MBA at Clemson (and so will not be wrestling)
  19. Wonder if he will save Pitt Johnstown as the last one to be excluded - or if that would be too heartbreaking for them. If they're not going to get him - I'm not sure what the ideal situation would be.
  20. Not sure how people manage to effectively suck weight with these tests. I remember the first year they started imposing this in high school, I got down to 119, to qualify the weight, but my body fat was around 3%. the number seemed low, so got it checked at a DEXA, and it was legit. At that time you could get a doctor's note, but mine wouldn't write one. So I bumped to 125.
  21. https://athletics.misericordia.edu/news/2024/9/15/chertow-resigns-as-head-womens-wrestling-coach-at-misericordia.aspx
  22. with Endene leaving, and Amos bumping up, Colucci is now the only 197 lber on Wisconsin's roster.
