  1. I'll be rooting for all three of those guys specifically because I view them as underdogs. Having a chance to win is one thing. Allred has the best chance of the three in my opinion. I've been wrong plenty of times before so who knows
  2. Maybe a dumb question but is he eligible this year or not until next?
  3. Or one of them could even go 157 next year with Gfeller gone
  4. I'm rooting for Sammy. Would love to see him find success as a cowboy
  5. 184 should be a good match. 141 as well. As for the rest, I don't anticipate many surprises

  7. Tanner Cook - the darkest horse that ever galloped
  8. RBY had 9 losses: Austin Gomez by fall (this smaller version of Gomez would not be an All American for several years) Ben Thornton (never all american) John Erneste Ethan Lizak Luke Pletcher Austin DeSanto (x2) Seth Gross Sebastian Rivera
  9. Curious about the nature of Thomas Penolas injury and whether he had early onset dementia from headbutting opponents
  10. I could be a bit blinded by bias since we used to wrestle against Stroudsburg back in the day. But I tend to think that even with a volatile set of results so far, Pinto is a guy who has a very high ceiling (top three finish IMO) but also a bit of a low floor (with the wrong matchup could be a 1-2 type at Nationals)
  11. I guess I need to actually use instagram from time to time. I usually check it about once a year and never remember my password
  12. couldn't find any news about it, but saw that Dominick Serrano is on the Northern Colorado team page. Wrestlestat has him still with Nebraska https://uncbears.com/sports/wrestling/roster/dominick-serrano-/9505 https://www.wrestlestat.com/wrestler/61120/serrano-dominick/profile
  13. Article is from 1/10/2016 and references "freshman Jaron Smith". He's been a Maryland wrestler for longer than I've lived in any one place in my life
  14. Hardy and Woods are both very good but my money is on Alirez this year
  15. This ornery version of Lee is my favorite. Seems the most authentic
  16. Year 1: 285 title winner Year 2: 174 title winner Year 3: 149 title winner Year 4: 125 title winner Hodge in all four years, two Olympic golds as a college freshman (FS and Greco) without an Olympic redshirt. Undefeated throughout college and also served as head coach four all four years.
  17. anyone know what's up with Josh Humphreys? Last wrestled 12/20 against Wilcox of Ohio St. He didn't wrestle in Midlands and didn't go against Cornell or Binghamton. Hopefully nothing too serious.
  18. Would be fun if they agreed to a 130 catch weight and did an exhibition for us. Doubt it happens though unless it is after nationals and both are actually healthy.
  19. Ecklof ended up placing 6th one year for Oklahoma. Ciasulli won EIWA in 2007 but never AAd (tough draw at nationals that year facing Ryan Lang in the first round)
  20. Just imagine if Lovett wasn't redshirting this year. They might overtake Iowa for 2nd place.
  21. Jeff Ecklof did this for Northampton against Easton to face Matt Ciassulli. Both as returning state Champs. Ecklof sucked down for a match and beat him.
  22. Impressive that Saldate took out Lewan and Lee back to back.
  23. actually five I guess: Jon Trenge, Paul Velekei, Derek Jenkins, Sean Jenkins, Christian Franco apparently I didn't make the same impression on Jon. I saw him outside of Beast of the East one year (maybe 2002?) and said hello to him. He had no memory of me and seemed a little weirded out by my approach (lol!).
