  1. Antonio Saldate to Life University
  2. https://intermatwrestle.com/articles/26754 great summary by our host website here - intermat
  3. weird it seems like Dom LaJoie is now headed to Stanford after initial reports indicated that he would spend his last year of eligibility as a Chippewa. His younger brother is at Stanford as well
  4. Jamison is a great prospect. Nice get for OK St
  5. Yeah I probably shouldn't have even shared his tweet to be honest
  6. Sounds ridiculous to say but I believe it
  7. You're looking at the wrong year
  8. 125: NQ if health is there but there is virtually zero chance of AA here 133: Will AA but won't win title (2nd-6th) 141: If Alirez uses an ORS, Bartlett could win the title. I'd give him even odds vs Woods 149: Van Ness is one of many impressive guys at the weight. Guaranteed AA but who knows what place. 157: Haines should be top three and may be title favorite 165: Tough weight class but they got a tougher wrestler. Mesenbrink is a lock for AA 174: Starocci if he wrestles is a title lock. If he doesn't, Facundo will be a NQ but not AA or R12 184: Truax top five 197: Brooks title favorite but third at worst 285: Same comment as Brooks
  9. 165 has seen a lot of prominent portal activity: 1) Shane Griffith from Stanford to Michigan 2) Mikey Caliendo from NDSU to...(Minnesota?) 3) Mitchell Mesenbrink from California Baptist to Penn State 4) Izzak Olejnik from Northern Illinois to Oklahoma State 5) Cael Carlson from Minnesota to...(NDSU?) 6) Jake Marsh from Princeton to Morgan State 7) Chance McLane from Oklahoma State to Arizona State
  10. Howard - too injury prone Steen - too small Nasdeo and Davis are only true freshman - not sure what to expect from them McHenry gives them someone they can count on to be competitive on most nights
  11. I think of him as the Bandwidth G
  12. Some folks saying Pentz may also be gone. I hope Obe can hold on to some of these guys
  13. Sounds like Caliendo may be headed to Minnesota with an NIL deal secured and Franek also entering the portal
  14. Robbie Howard hasnt participated in a college match in several years. He was a good prospect a long time ago, but the only thing he has proven at Penn State is that he is very fragile and unreliable.
  15. I'm excited to see how the Frost bit plays out with Ionel puns. Especially since I think they may end up hitting the portal eventually
  16. I wouldn't be surprised if he was a finalist this year for 125. Last year, he had only one loss and it was to his legendary teammate Spencer Lee. The year prior, he was thrust into the starting lineup as a true freshman unexpectedly after Lee went down mid-season. His only losses were to guys who have been all-americans (McKee and Barnett) or guys who came pretty close (Camacho, Heinselman). Gutierriez is the only questionable loss and he was no slouch himself (and keep in mind, when they wrestled, Ayala was a true freshman in his first NCAAs where Gutierrez was in his sixth year of eligibility and a three time national qualifier. More than anything, the reason why I think he has a good chance is that his ability to pull off unlikely moves late in matches is something that sets him apart. He has a higher ceiling (and lower floor) than guys who have a similar level of expected return.
  17. I also think trajectory of Ayala is to move up to 133 eventually. That's how there was expected to be room for Jesuroga before his change of heart. I view Cruz as a nice plan B, although not the pedigree of Jesuroga
  18. He's a West Virginia boy. Justin McCoy and Gerritt Nijenjuis are their best 165 for now
  19. 125: Jakob Camacho / Nico Provo 133: Connor McGonagle 141: Ryan Jack 149: Matt Laurie 157: Cesar Alvan / AJ Kovacs 165: Brevin Cassella 174: Phillip Conigliaro 184: Michael Bartush 197: Austin Cooley 285: Will Jarrell
  20. 125: Brady Pruett, Pennsylvania (Archbishop Spaulding) 133: Joe Couch, West Point (Bullis) 141: Alex Blake, Clarion (La Plata) 149: Richard Fedalen, Columbia (McDonogh) 157: Jason Kraisser, Iowa State (Centennial) 165: John Noah Reho, Bloomberg (Stephen Decatur) 174: Dominic Solis, Maryland (McDonogh) 184: Aaron Brooks, Penn State (North Hagerstown) 197: Larry Vola, Maryland (Montgomery Blair) 285: Jaron Smith, Maryland (Oakland Mills)
