  1. Yeah it's a lot and the group is hilarious. I feel like the best way to round it out would be to throw in JoJo Aragona. Alirez has mentioned Olympic Redshirt. I wonder if Manzona can suck down to 141? Zerban seems to be the best of this particular rafter of turkeys
  2. Manzona Bryant IV is taking his talents to Greeley
  3. Lyden 165 and Sparks 174 seems like the plan
  4. Not to mention they have both John Wiley and Willie McDougald at 149 - I thought one would move up to challenge Hill. Now we have Carlson maybe moving down if he can't beat Nijenhuis. I am surprised Carlson wouldn't go somewhere with more of an opening. Even Minnesota has a bigger opening with Sparks moving up.
  5. This checks out with my anecdotal observations. I've only known one person from GA Tech and he seemed to be about 70% man
  6. For your time in Los Angeles, check this club: https://socalwrestlingclub.com/
  7. Following are guys that remain in the transfer portal and have top 100 rank in Wrestlestat 125: Antonio Lorenzo (Cal Poly), Killian Delaney (Lehigh), Maximo Renteria (Illinois) 133: None 141: Cleveland Belton (Oregon State), Patrick Nolan (Michigan) 149: Manzona Bryant (Lehigh), Matt Laurie (Sacred Heart) 157: Nate Camiscioli (Purdue) 165: Cael Carlson (Minnesota), Donald Cates (North Carolina State) 174: Tyler Eischens (Stanford), Darrien Roberts (Oklahoma), Peyton Craft (Cornell), Corey Connelly (Rider) 184: Josh Stillings (Drexel) 197: Jonathan Fagen (Arizona State) 285: None
  8. 125: Caleb Smith 133: Kyle Burwick or Jacob Van Dee 141: Brock Hardy 149: Ridge Lovett 157: Peyton Robb (Antrell Taylor until Robb is healthy) 165: Bubba Wilson 174: Elise Brown Ton 184: Lenny Pinto 197: Silas Allred 285: Owen Pentz This is a fun team. I'm ready for lots of "Letters to Elise" references this year as Brown Ton steps into the starting lineup.
  9. Owen Pentz to Nebraska. Will wrestle 285
  10. Reportedly many of the donors are actually Penn State fans who have gotten bored and are dying for competition
  11. Yeah I am still a big fan of his wrestling, but I also felt like his sophomore year didn't show the kind of jump I might have expected after his impressive freshman year. For a guy that tends to let it fly against guys he feels he can handle, he seems to have a more difficult time in strategic matches. I think he needs both more confidence in his stuff against top guys, while also working on his in-match decision making.
  12. Just for arguments sake, I would say that the margins are pretty slim at 165 - and among those who were AA - he and Hamiti were the only two that were in high school two years ago. It's my personal opinion that Caliendo's win over Griffith is more impressive than any win Hamiti has had yet in college.
  13. I saw it on Wrestlestat. I also saw a new one on there for Lehigh in recent transfer Hunter Mays.
  14. If I'm Brands Brothers - I ask Caliendo where he wants to go and everyone else fills in around him. He is the future
  15. It was a bloke named Jeff Lee on minnows page
  16. There is a guy on Facebook stating that Cassioppi, Nelson Brands, Assad, and Woods were the ones involved. Nothing about Kennedy though. Worth noting that Kennedy wrestled 174 as a redshirt. I'd prioritize Caliendo above all else
  17. What's more interesting is that Caliendo has the red hair but Kennedy has the Irish name
  18. 125: Joey Cruz, Oklahoma 133: Brody Teske, Northern Iowa and Penn Staye 141: Real Woods, Stanford 149: Victor Voinovich, Oklahoma State 157: Jared Franek, North Dakota State 165: Mikey Caliendo, North Dakota State 174: 184 197 285: Gable Steveson, Minnesota If Ayala gets injured, Siebrecht loses to Voinovich, and they manage to sign Gable Steveson, looks like a max of seven. Upper weights they don't have many transfers (yet)
  19. This is awesome news! Will they be Big12 or Socon?
  20. My favorite way to end practice was King of the Mountain. Everyone lines up by weight. The two smallest guys face off until one gets the takedown. You stay on the mat and face the next guy up (and so on) until you are taken down. Another one fun for kids is everyone has to crab walk and you try to break others down. Last man standing.
  21. This thread is about Ben Askren moving this weekend and wanted to know if anyone could lend a hand - he's got a pullout couch thats very difficult to hoist up in the air by a single person
  22. Cal Poly 125 lb Antonio Lorenzo in the portal. The two-time national qualifier has two years left of eligibility. Last year had wins over Nico Provo, Carter Bailey, and Noah Surtin. 125 is always a position of need so he should find a spot
  23. I'm not aware of this story, but I'll take a guess - was Jon Trenge the guy from D11?
  24. Colin Realbuto using an olympic redshirt
