  1. Someone posted the home attendance stats last year and Clarion was bottom of the barrel. It's a shame because that part of PA is rich in wrestling history and has plenty of fan interest. It's just a very low population there and you have a lot of colleges in PA with wrestling all offering state tuition. Penn State gobbling up most of the big fish. As a coach, it's a tough predicament but as a fan even tougher. If the coach succeeds under such hostile circumstances, he is paid more by a bigger program. And then what as a fan? NDSU right now as a prime example
  2. Is the school in question Wyoming Seminary?
  3. For their potential lineup next year all these guys are transfers. They did lose the All-American Will Feldkamp to Iowa State, but they also gained him through the portal in the first place from Northern Illinois. 133: Varndell from Edinboro 141: Sullivan from West Virginia 157: Alejando Herrera Rondon from Oklahoma 165: Cameron Pine from Campbell 285: John Meyers from Seton Hill Couple years ago there was Brent Moore from Virginia Tech and notably lost grad transfer Bulsak to Rutgers where he became AA for them.
  4. FloArena will be submitted to one of the following: Firing squad Lethal injection Public hanging
  5. So Anthony Echemendia has been training with Cyclone RTC for some time and the boys on the Cyclone Fanatic page are speculating as to whether he will eventually rejoin NCAA wrestling at Iowa State
  6. This JJ McComas looks like one to keep an eye on for the Cowboys perhaps
  7. Where wa he committed before?
  8. I was just kicking around wrestlestat and saw him listed on the 141 rankings with a new team listed and it caught my eye. Didn't see this on social media anywhere.
  9. Logan Messer of George Washington is listed as a redshirt this year. Started as a true freshman and sophomore racking up a record of 50-18. Junior year academically will be his redshirt year. Not sure on the rationale by looking at their roster.
  10. Amman was one of my favorite cities I've been to. Great people, better food, sightseeing, culture. Lots to do
  11. "When GameStop acquired Electronics Boutique in 2005, it was Gregory Elinsky who served as Electronics Boutique's advisor. The deal was valued at $1.4 billion." https://gregoryelinsky.weebly.com/
  12. Love this beer and I used to live near the Fuller brewery in southwest London. Rode by each morning to the smell of toasted grains.
  13. Ryan Sullivan, who served his redshirt year as a Pitt Panther before becoming a national qualifer for West Virginia in 2021 - has resurfaced as the heir apparent at 141 for the Clarion Golden Eagles
  14. Kaleb Snodgrass from Lock Haven to UT Chatt
  15. Looking back, I kind of doubt that. Matt Kolodzik at 149 with a great chance to AA
  16. Would be funny if all this time Cael was posting as JimmyCinnabon
  17. https://www.nationalprepwrestling.org/ncaa-all-americans Looks like it goes back to 1998
  18. As far as I can tell, he was their only all-american this year (correct me if I'm wrong) and Blair has had a streak of consecutive years with All Americans going back several decades
  19. I haven't been to Chicago since I was 20. Fun times back then but sounds like things have changed a bit
  20. 125: Lorenzo 133: Koelzer 141: Schwartz 149: McDougald / Wiley 157: McDougald / Wiley / Hill 165: Nijenhuis / Carlson 174: Picklo 184: Hoose / Parker RS 197: Buchanan 285: Heindselman / Mora
  21. Antonio Lorenzo from Cal Poly to Oklahoma
  22. Wrestlestat updated Rutgers to reflect what some rumors on the Scarlet Knights board had suggested earlier this summer. Anthony Clark will not be taking a redshirt after all - and will be starting at 157, while Tony White will bump up from 149 to 165. Final lineup for Rutgers: 125: Dean Peterson 133: Dylan Shawver 141: Mitch Moore 149: Jacob Butler 157: Andrew Clark 165: Tony White 174: Jackson Turley 184: Brian Soldano 197: John Poznanski 285: Yaraslau Slavikouski Very solid
  23. While we have you here (an SIUE alum) - I have to say I'm a big fan of Saul Ervin My dad doesn't actively follow wrestling, but I was spending time with him last year during Midlands and we kept getting to see Saul Ervin matches and he was upsetting guys left and right. Gritty, calculated, and under the radar - fun wrestler. Will be keeping an eye out for him this year
