  1. Yeah... you're just Jimmy at this point. I preempted that so this DIDN'T turn into anything about race or mental health issues(which...I think you struggle with) or anything else and DIDN'T bring up Politics and you still whined. This is about the death of 3 innocent little children, not whatever pettiness you're dealing with. I guess I said political. Just the word. This...this is exactly what I didn't want it devolving into. Again, people can make anything political, so it was a way of just basically asking that ONE thread that...shouldn't be divisive in anyway.
  2. And then there was a Republican oversight committee that determined that there was no institutional wrongdoing and the INDIVIDUALS(3 low level employees canvassing) were held responsible. In fact...the house applauded FEMA in addressing it; https://oversight.house.gov/release/comer-applauds-fema-for-holding-bad-actors-accountable-for-political-discrimination-against-trump-supporters/?utm_source=chatgpt.com So the claim that they were "withholding funds to give to illegals," was false. But it's always telling who just laps up Trump's stump speeches in lieu of the facts. And if you have a problem with this, take it up with the Republican Congress who came to these conclusions(or again, who denied 20B in additional funding just before the Hurricanes and who have since slashed the budged and personnel even more). If the Hurricane victims got "nothing," with nothing being 2.7B, I'm curious what would be "something."
  3. Are you so stupid that you think we're talking JUST about hurricanes? You don't grasp the impact that additional WARNING for a hurricane or other types of storms may be adversely impacted? But no, you're right. Complain about Fema's responses and the money they were allowed to give out LEGALLY for immediate needs, complain that they actually have to file for paper work to be reimbursed for additional losses ALL while you clap like mindless seals when people talk about WASTE and FRAUD(even objecting to having to identify oneself) do all of this right after you cut FEMA funding by 20 Billion at a time when the scope and scale of storms are getting worse each year, THEN blame Biden because you're too stupid to fact check Trump's stump speeches. THEN applaud the 1800 Fema employees and cut another 3.5B dollars from the Underfunded agency and make a statement as stupid as, 'er....they I'll bet they're aren't any unexpected Hurricanes," you clown. AS we all know, Hurricanes... that's the ONLY thing FEMA is responsible for. This is the point where YOU don't believe your own argument, you just feel like you need to make one and that's how you come up with these type of arguments. Also how you get "Pol Pot," when looking for the biggest Domestic Terrorist threats.
  4. It definitely would and... with the "hate crime" aspect, he'd definitely be looking at the death penalty. And I hope he doesn't get it, but if someone succumbs from their injuries...let him have it. Even if someone lives with their injuries for the next decade and they die as a result of this, they can still charge him for capital murder(and they should).
  5. Yeah, they generally reserve the death penalty for when people are killed.
  6. God you're a douche bag. I didn't think I did, but I'm glad after making a fool of yourself on other threads, you felt the need to do exactly what I thought you'd do when talking about the death of 3 little girls. But by all means, point out what you had a problem with where it was more important for you to argue with me and comment rather than respond to the topic(or just not respond)?
  7. LOL...is the last one still a thing? I'm kidding, but you see so many guys who immediately look to dive in on that leg and create a scramble. I thought that was one of the things Starocci and Brooks were so good at. They stuff a shot, they were tough and physical in that front head and they beat you up and got the most simple scores...just a little go behind. Lots of others do that as well, but... those two came to mind. I split by eye so bad in a match, they couldn't get the bleeding to stop. This was out at Fargo and it was early, I was up...pretty good, maybe 7-0, not a tough match, but just couldn't get it stopped. A father who was real active in the sport and just a great dude...he comes up and he has a bad and says he can stitch it up. I remember him saying, "won't even scar, you'll still be as good...well, you won't get any uglier," when asking. And he did it, wrapped it up and...it was good. He also used Super Glue. Honestly, the thing that hurt the most was him pouring the water and then athletic wipes to clean it. It's not a particularly sensitive place though.
  8. https://abcnews.go.com/US/3-young-sisters-reported-missing-washington-after-leaving/story?id=122419639 From JJ and TJ Watt's old High School, this guy, former Wrestler... it APPEARS as though he took the lives of his three beautiful daughters. The mental health issues and PTSD(he was in the Military and I've already heard some comments about his Mental Health) will be thrown out there...but this is just as selfish as you can be. Air out your own Grey Matter if you absolutely must(which I generally don't endorse, but would have in this case). Just brutal. I don't want to get political...we can all agree on this one, but this seems like the result of an ugly divorce and this guy was down and homeless and trying to hurt his wife... but the old Golda comment seems apt here. He hated his wife more than he loved his own daughters...PRESUMABLY. No actual confirmation he actually committed this atrocity... but he picked them up for visitation...they were never seen alive again.
  9. EXACTLY! The 3 point stance...there's nothing you can do. Also, that Purler style of Wrestling, you're going to end up leaking from the head once in a while. Just part of the sport.
  10. No, there's absolutely nothing wrong with this IMO, I don't think it started with JB, I think it's been around forever and I think as long as you're using your head and hands as your first line of defense...I don't know what you're supposed to do. It's so hard to get guys out of position, ideally, you'd plant your head in his cheat and shoot, but guys are blocking with their head. There may be some cases that are egregious, but the one at 16:45 was nothing. Just a good shot. Cael did that, Joe Williams did that, Johnny Hendricks and Kyle Snyder...and here Vito(just one guy from most of the top Colleges so this doesn't turn into another complaint about on school). Blast double. Sometimes, you get blasted in the dome. It happens.
  11. You really think he'll be able to hold 57KG? He looks like he's 4-5 inches taller than Lee... and he's not exactly physically mature. Why can't Lee be the "future" at 57KG? He should have at least another cycle. Did I miss something?
  12. This was...shockingly good advice that never once dawned on me until I started coaching. I had a HWT, he was a great FB player, he was 6'4 270, he could run all day, he was fine in practice, but he was backing up guys his first 3 years who'd all placed in State. He finally got his shot and he would gas about 90 seconds into the match. It took about 10 minutes until an assistant said 'he's holding his breath.' The nerves were getting to him and he just...wasn't breathing. Not even regulating his breath, but he was holding it for long stretches. Never would have dawned on me. Good kid, ended up being pretty good and played 4 years of College Football.
  13. I think you need to be functionally disabled mentally in order to understand or find this amusing.
  14. Is this a mental health issue? I don't think Trump believed he won(well, we know he knew he lost)... but so many others did. Beyond that, if they could rig it in 2020, why not rig it better? Why not rig it in 2024? Or was it rigged in 2024 and Trump just agreed to play along with the rigging? Makes ya think, doesn't it? Kinda like, 'I think this is mind numbingly stupid.'
  15. 1. False Claims of Aid Being Withheld from Republican Areas Former President Donald Trump and other Republicans alleged that the Biden administration deliberately withheld disaster aid from Republican-leaning regions affected by Hurricane Helene. These claims were unfounded and contradicted by FEMA's documented assistance efforts. Such misinformation eroded trust in federal relief programs and complicated coordination with local officials. 2. Mischaracterization of the $750 Assistance Payment Some conservative commentators misrepresented FEMA's $750 "Serious Needs Assistance" as either the total amount of aid available or as a loan requiring repayment. In reality, this payment was an initial, one-time grant intended to cover immediate essential needs. Eligible survivors could apply for additional assistance through FEMA's Individuals and Households Program. 3. Conspiracy Theories About Government Intentions Conspiracy theories circulated online, suggesting that the federal government used Hurricane Helene as a pretext to seize land in areas like Chimney Rock, North Carolina, for purposes such as lithium mining. These claims were baseless and debunked by local authorities and emergency management officials. Nevertheless, they gained traction on social media, hindering recovery efforts. Wikipedia+3Wikipedia+3Congressman Chuck Edwards+3 4. AI-Generated Misinformation AI-generated images falsely depicting disaster scenes were shared widely on social media to criticize FEMA's response. One such image showed a young girl in floodwaters, purportedly illustrating federal neglect. Despite being fabricated, these images were used to support misleading narratives about the federal response. Wikipedia 5. Political Undermining of FEMA The Trump administration's approach included appointing FEMA leadership with limited disaster management experience and reducing the agency's role in favor of state-led responses. This shift led to internal confusion, staff resignations, and concerns about FEMA's preparedness for future disasters. The Times of India+2The Daily Beast+2AP News+2WSJ+1The Daily Beast+1 These instances of misinformation and political interference not only misrepresented FEMA's actions but also impeded effective disaster response and recovery efforts following Hurricane Helene.
  16. Looks more like separated by death... what's with the Grey Face?
  17. I'm plenty focused and I addressed most of these issues. You apparently need to hear this multiple times. 1-Yes, filing out paper work. Or...do you suppose you should just... tell Fema how much money you're entitled to with no other forms of documentation? How would YOU propose that money be handed out? 2-You want to talk about how slow and ineffective Fema is, but you don't want to talk about how Republicans voted against additional funding and NOW they've slashed the budget even more while cutting 1800 employees? Please, spare me the whining about how slow it was. You're getting what you voted for. Finally, AGAIN, you realize the Federal Government isn't responsible for 100% of ALL costs, right? You have...what are called INSURANCE companies. Biden did give out 100% of funds he was legally allowed to give out and as I said, States asked for troops, he sent troops. Biden offered additional help to Florida, they turned it down. But the "there's so much fraud and waste," crowd thinks you should just...I don't know, exactly HOW do you think the money should be allocated? Should I drive down to North Carolina and just...walk up with nothing and say I need 500K? Thoughts? Oh, and AGAIN, not 2B, 2.7B. And that's..."nothing." 2.7 Billion dollars is..."nothing." Ok...cool.
  18. I stayed focused and I responded. You ducked the question. And yes, I keep talking about filling out the paperwork. Should they just take people's word for it? I thought we were worried about giving money to "Unlawfuls," and fraud. But now you should get more than the 750, the maximum allowed by congress and Biden should just hand that out...because, right? Meanwhile, you doubt how much of that money made it to those impacted, but... they should have had to fill out the paperwork. President Joe Biden approved a 100% federal cost share for emergency response and debris removal efforts in several states affected by Hurricane Helene, including Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. This means the federal government covered all eligible costs for these activities during the initial recovery period. In North Carolina, the 100% federal cost share was authorized for the first 180 days following the disaster declaration. After this period, the federal cost share for Public Assistance was adjusted to 90%, reducing the state's financial burden compared to the standard 75% federal share. Overall, the Biden administration's decision to increase the federal cost share significantly alleviated the financial strain on the affected states during the critical early stages of recovery from Hurricane Helene.
  19. Yeah...well, I didn't agree with Iowa being blamed for Lee either. He lost the State Finals as a Sr because of a knee injury. Injuries happen. I never viewed it as just having injuries. I can't imagine a Wrestler making it through the level of Wrestling required to make it to a B1G program(so a LOT of high level HS competition)...then 5 years in the B1G and not getting injuries. I guess it's kinda irrelevant as... this discussion will continue(on every thread).
  20. So no, you're not able to follow along. Again, Pol Pot cited as an example of the threat of domestic terrorism. Can't make this up!
  21. 3 guys who took 3rd, two of whom played higher than the guy you're talking about and the other who lost the TB to the now 2X defending Champ. I honestly don't care what Iowa does or who it happens to, I'm just wondering how much whining a couple people can do about Penn State's injuries...and then bring up a list full of National Champs. Seems kinda silly.
  22. Well...yeah, you gutted early detection because you had guys who didn't know what the job was, then you gutted funding. It's like if a bunch of people wanted to put a stop sign on a dangerous intersection and the city counsel voted against it(though in this case it'd be more like going from lights to just a stop sign). And then there was an accident there and the mayor was from the other party...the party trying to improve the safety at the intersection. Then you had a car accident with a couple of the counsel members kids and they die. It's still tragic. It's horrible. But then they come back AFTER that and decide...raise the speed limit. Well...now, I really don't want to hear when it happens to Republican areas(or in this case, if it happens to anyone's kids...anyone who has a say in the matter at least). And the volunteers were helpful. They provided some water and a tiny fraction of the resources that were allocated. Like...literally fractions of a percentage. In some cases they were actually getting in the way more. It's the age old Conservative Mantra...'Make Govt' less efficient, then blame Govt' when it's less efficient.' But people really think Bikers in U-hauls were more effective. I mean...it's always great to help out, but...it's that type of mindset that's just the problem.
  23. So it went from nothing to billions of dollars. Biden deployed 100% of congressional approved funds for lost property. As or the total bill of damage cost, you realize that's why you have INSURANCE, right? Did you think Fema was going to hand out 113 Billion dollars? It would have been significantly more, but Republicans had just blocked a bill to add 20 Billion dollars in aid. NOW Doge and the Trump administration has slashed another 3.6B dollars and 1800 FEMA employees. Biden did everything he could. He was asked for more troops to help, he sent them. But tell me, do you think the next time there is a hurricane the response will be BETTER or WORSE with these cuts to Fema? This is the old backwards saying, "you can't have your cake and eat it too." Which...makes no sense, why would anyone want cake and not be able to eat it....and so the saying is you can't eat your cake and have it too, but, the question remains. Do you think if that storm hit right now, the response would be BETTER or worse? Now you have to account for the number of people who believed they were only allowed 750 dollars because Trump repeated that over 3 dozen times. People weren't even filling out their paper work to get benefits because of the News. But yeah, I can't listen to a Republican complain about Fema's response given they voted against additional funding before and have since gutted Fema.
  24. Yeah, that very well may be a result(at least in part) to how their training progresses and how they peak at the end of the season... whereas Iowa seems to only have one speed all year long.
  25. LMFAO... you didn't read that, didn't you? Now cite how the Editorial Section of the Times from Pol Pots death in 1998 is impacting anyone today? Cut and paste from that article... Just change "Women" to "MAGA." A 1998 Pol Pot article that says nothing about Pol Pots influence IN the United States. This is beneath you Caveira. This is more Jimmy or 'lil Scouts speed. Posting things they haven't read about something that's not even related to Domestic Terrorism in the United States.
