  1. I'm not at all a boxing expert but he keeps his arms pretty wide of his face/body.
  2. That wasn't why Paetzell left. Timing was coincidental but he had decided to leave as early as first semester as I recall him telling me.
  3. Back to back days of competition (they reworded in the most recent book), yes correct.
  4. To my knowledge, the only time allowances are given in college is on the second or third days of a tournament including team advancement.
  5. Uh, none
  6. It does explain the bling!
  7. When you posted that, I was wondering if it was the father that moved earlier on. And now a couple posts, yours and weehawken make me think more of that possibility.
  8. I know wikipedia isn't always correct but - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/A.J._Ferrari This is confirmed by the Ok State bio- https://okstate.com/sports/wrestling/roster/aj-ferrari/10137 There is another article (about the parents) that says born in Allen, Tx then moving to Dallas.
  9. Not sure I agree that video would have helped him recruiting wise that much. He was more looking for the type of personalities that would buy into his training methods and would run through walls for him. Can you see that in match video that much?
  10. Took me to see it single framing to fully appreciate it. It was an in "control" rear standing position. Then brought to the mat with a hand down. What takes a second to realize is that it's SV so that the instant the td is scored what happens after (other than flagrant) is totally irrelevant. I would assume Dean would have gotten a reversal in other circumstances. When they came up with this rule it was designed with quick 2-1 or 2-2 situations in mind.
  11. OK. Thanks. We had heard 1 pointers but I guess they were right anyway.
  12. I was wondering if that was more points than in their wrestle-offs over the last couple years TOTAL!
  13. only knew of Ulia.
  14. Something is wrong with the transcript of the bout. It shows 4 2s. It should be 2 4s, I imagine given the times. Probably just the scorer was slow tapping. 15. Online Flo was having problems receiving the data from us. The software was working just fine in the gym. As we were getting to the placewinners to hand out medals, I told them to look at the brackets (not realizing online was behind again) to announce places. After a while they got back to me so I logged them into the local and they started announcing right away. I'm not sure if the team score was having the same issues or not. I didn't look at that. Not sure if they were getting overwhelmed as more and more events are going Flo rather than track. The first weekend in December was always a big one for tournaments. I know that they are looking to update things as they merge the platforms eventually.
  16. I was running a small local event. I usually check the tiles to see if data is getting through. It was. A friend who was also running something near by texted me noticing the brackets weren't updating. Neither were mine. I checked with the guy running Vegas and he knew and knew that Flo was working on it. The problem was entirely online as I could see scores were attempting to send and rejected by the arena. It caught up at one point and then went down again. I left my event and brought my server machine here and let it keep trying while I was doing something else. It took quite a while to finish and be received.
  17. You must be young! Lost treasure, found: 2012 Nebraska "Illegal Fist to the Back" dual
  18. Like maybe Hall of Fame worthy?
  19. I don't think anyone is clear on this but I believe he lost a match in '63 placing 3rd at Nats so that wouldn't have been Fujita (he wouldn't have been a teenager yet). I think it was his first year in serious wrestling as he switched from Judo.
  20. Invariably, almost always, 90+% Keeping your options open?
