i do not "bash" the women's style as much as i just do not respect it as much as real wrestling... it just is not representative of what wrestling started as thousands of years ago... that does not mean i do not recognize freestyle as a top 10 important athletic pursuit... but... it just is not as representative of what we are simulating as proper greco...

you clearly missed the BC post on the googlewebs years ago that clearly showed he was 3 years older than what some of us thought at the time...

that is on him... he chose to wrestle for the NCAA... one of the scummiest organizations ever... he could have done something different... don't blame anyone other than the one who ultimately makes that decision...

i fear Lee is going to go down as one of the biggest what ifs in american wrestling... he chose the shit style... that is on him...

to be fair, sadulaeuv had that russian BC so the ages you list are akin to asking a father what his favorite kid walks around at... but... the sentiment i agree with...

seriously, i can not in good faith point to any senior "free" coach that puts near enough emphasis on par terre... and that is based purely on how their athletes wrestle... i can say at age group there are 3 club guys that show good par terre technique... luke morris at black fox... terry pack at LOG... zach dominguez at MWC... clearly i could point to any number of greco guys that have solid technique to show, but, you better really want to learn a gut because that is not fun to practice... and if you don't do it everyday then you ribs will not be able to withstand even a light greco go...

perspective has been crumpled up and thrown out the window in this country... Odin help you if you do not have any desire to be lumped into either "team"...

last season a point of emphasis for refs (as per USAW) was that in greco passivity and chosen par terre situation there would be 25-30 seconds given for par terre work... they earned it they should get it was the thinking... that was not what happened internationally for whatever reason... regardless... the reality is if you are just laying on top of someone and not even attempting a legitimate exposure at all (pretty much all of par terre outside of greco) then there is little point allowing that poor wrestling to continue...

which is more a function that they are not accomplishing anything while down there... because they do not make it a point to work on it... once or twice a year the guys will do one practice session with the greco guys and it is always equal parts laughable and embarrassing how even basic par terre technique is lost on them... that is as much on the coaches as the athletes...

the women are way better than the men in the women's style at par terre... both sexes are awful as compared to an age level greco guy...

i just can't... moving on...

the only thing questionable is how sloppy the wrestling was to have allowed that many points...

i said nothing about women's matches...

i will never understand why in the women's style, our guys simply refuse to learn any par terre at all...

but my dumb @ss wasted more minutes than that match was worth... i came out of thinking yep, same nashon as ever... no real technique, damn sure absolutely no defense, mentally suspect at best... the surprise came watching desanto and thinking just how bad he looked in that match... seriously, if either of them had any par terre at all that match looks like a regional cadet quarter final... instead it looks like a round of 32

who is going to investigate the investigator? and how long will it take for the "conspiracy theories" of that investigation to finally be acknowledged as truth?

seriously mike... he isn't wrong... just own it and move on... always getting so defensive when the obvious is pointed out is not a good look...

They are definitely solid wins, but, if they don’t expect to beat the domestic also rans then they should move into the next phase of their lives…

i can not imagine desanto or lugo considering either of those "big" wins...

not the best technically, but, still a couple of bombs...
