Speaking from actual personal experience raising a daughter who is counter culture… there is considerably more truth to these “false” statements than you will ever allow yourself to see…

Outside of this country it does just fine… it is more reminiscent of what wrestling actually started as… dive in on the legs on the battlefield and you are immediately dispatched… but… ’merica… fear… ignorance… sheepeople…

the other thing that is a real problem is that our governing body has done an absolute piss poor job at promoting greco... allocating resources to greco... supporting those who they hire to run greco... the absolute best thing for american greco would be for USAW to just give it to someone else to run and go do whatever it is they do...

This is the real truth… a recruiting problem… was talking with a D1 coach at Vegas… I was giving him props because he had several guys who made some waves at U20 Greco… he made the comment he was a 3X Fargo Greco champ and did not get one call about Greco… it’s more a function of this country having no (years ago) to few (currently) real options for Greco… it’s not that we don’t have talented athletes that prefer the best style… just no/few options… it’s only the few outliers that say FU to the common path… and normals have an irrational fear of outliers…

There is no domestic glory… none… I still love my salty gal!!!

It would be useless to explain how that is not choosing and is in fact settling, so, I will not… the only thing I will say is that I love all my salty gals!!!!

Literally no one chooses Greco for domestic success… Such a small minded way of thinking…

That is as silly a statement as some I’ve heard by those who really believed this cultural appropriation is a real thing…

thank you, brother... 3hrs a day on the road and for PT till we leave for ohio... he's wrestling no matter what because he is a true psycho, but, still remains to be seen how effective he will be... just had his first light go this morning with the younger to test it a little... after trials an MRI to see the real extent of the damage... don't even want to know right now... point remains, injuries happen to everyone no matter how hard we try to prevent them and no one should necessarily feel bad about them during the normal flow of competition... but... to wish them on anyone is the absolute scummiest of behaviors...

the oldest was wrestling cory land in the finals of U20 at vegas... feet to back for the tech and land's foot got caught in the mat... totally destroyed his knee... from what i was told it is one of the worst knee injuries i have personally ever heard of... love that kid... he and the younger were on a world team together couple of years and connected... totally hated it went down like it did... last week the older was up 4-0 in the first 30 seconds of his first match at senior trials and got injured and teched out... had to be carried off the mat... was absolutely devastated for about an hour on the trainers table... now the race is to saee if we can get him healthy enough to wrestle in the finals of U20 where he sits... the kid who "should" meet him there is another personal friend... injuries happen all the time in every sport and it is always a threat... to "hope" an injury happens to any competitor for any reason to claim any spot is about the lowest thing a competitor/coach/"fan" can even contemplate...

you maybe on to something here... but... if history has proven anything, it is that some "demographics" do not act in a reasonable manner... we can all keep hope alive though, yes?

you can dance around any question you don't like the answer to with next level proficiency...
