  1. I’m picking Askey over Blaze before that match even happens Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. When he talked about his final decision in where he was transferring to, it was down to Iowa, PSU, and a return to MN. Just the fact that we were still in consideration hints to me that it was good terms? But that’s just me reading into things. Wells will never see 133 again after this weekend, so gophers will be looking for a 133 regardless. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. I would love nothing more than to welcome Nagao back to Minnesota. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. I didn’t start watching college wrestling closely until 2017, because I was too focused on my own high school career until then. Some of y’all are geezer lol And I know that makes the Dylan Ness profile picture make no sense, deal with it. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. You and I were destined to be enemies Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  6. Gopher fan but went to NDSU (because U of M is outrageously expensive) so NDSU definitely my #2 team. Love Obe Blanc. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  7. Elevator, if you think nobody wants to watch Vombaur then you’ve only seen him wrestle a small handful of times. The guy is electric. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. As long as Vombaur doesn’t get Hardy in the quarters I will be happy [emoji16] Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  9. It will probably be one of the most boring matches of the weekend. Just fast forward through it to see the Starocci 2-0 win imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Tyler Wells, 133. Was in the blood round last year but has not had a good January/February. Will be seeded low, but is capable of beating almost anyone in the field imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Barr should be a title favorite the next three years (and could conceivably win it this year) at 197. I don’t see him dropping back down at all. I expect Ryder there. Ferrari, McEnelly, Ryder, Welsh, Sinclair is insanity. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. McEnelly does not cut hard to make 184. Walks around about 190. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Does nhs stand for National Honor Society? Because *nerd* Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  14. I’m not saying I disagree, but I am curious what Ferrari has done in a lot of people’s eyes to have him capable of beating Plott. In his match against Starocci I saw a lot of sitting on one knee and fighting out of takedowns from the splits. Plott is approaching severely underrated territory imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. The only way he tech’s Kueter is if one or two of his takedowns end up going feet to back and he gets swipes. Kueter isn’t good enough to keep it to a decision, but is athletic enough to keep from getting taken down 8 times. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  16. 125 Flynn over Cruz 3-0 133 Ayala over Wells 3-3 141 Vombaur maj Schriever or Block 7-3 149 Parco maj Roberts 7-7 157 Teemer over Askey 7-10 165 Caliendo over sparks 7-13 174 Kennedy over Whiting 7-16 184 McEnelly over Arnold 10-16 197 Buchanan over Salazar 10-19 HWT Gable tech Kueter 15-19 Ranking possible upsets by highest to lowest in terms of likelihood (gophers favor) 1. Askey beating Teemer (will probably be a 1 TD match either way) 2. Sparks beating Caliendo 3. Wells beating Ayala — gap — 4. Whiting beating Kennedy (more likely if its Brands imo) 5. Salazar beating Buchanan (I think a major by Iowa is more likely than us winning) — gap — 6. Roberts over Parco. I don’t think we have any shot here at all. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  17. It’s more likely Buchanan bullies Salazar into a couple tilts and tech’s him than it is Salazar wins, imo. Buchanan is way too long for him. As much as it pains me to say. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  18. Flynn over Cruz 3-0 Ayala over Wells 3-3 Vombaur maj Schriever 7-3 Parco maj Roberts 7-7 Askey dec Estrada 10-7 Caliendo dec Sparks 10-10 Kennedy dec Whiting 10-13 Mcenelly dec Arnold 13-13 Buchanan dec Salazar 13-16 Gable tech Kueter 18-16 IF, and it’s a big IF, Teemer is out, they may need him this weekend. Could come down to bonus without Teemer. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  19. I prefer Arnold. I think McEnelly will get to legs and finish twice if not more on Arnold. Ferrari… all bets are off. I think it’d be a 1 take down 4-1 match that could go either way. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  20. They’re also a very young team currently. Bright future especially at 141-165. Not sure what’s going on at 125 and what the long term plans are at 174+ though. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  21. I hate ride outs as a rule. Not just because my team lost on them twice tonight, but it’s just a crap way to decide a match imo. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  22. Great, very fun dual. Sparks obviously wouldn’t have tech’d Gallagher and Askey wouldn’t have majored Sasso, but you go with who you got I suppose. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  23. Vombaur is damn good. He took Bartlett to the brink in a similar way last year at NCAA’s. Real woods in the Iowa dual too. He’s right there with the top guys, just needs to finish. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  24. Is it? Gophers still favored at 157, 165 and 184. I’m guessing a 5-5 split at this point Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  25. That’s a little rich coming from the HungusMungus Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
