  1. I'm scouring twitter right now trying to get answers. They had the wrong names for 133 and 141 so that might be the case.
  2. wait is this Michael Carr.... like used to be 149, Michael Carr?
  3. Why do I have a feeling Van Ness is going to make it interesting tonight? I have no reason to...yet I can't help it...
  4. Colton Schultz could've made 197 by the end of his match. Dude was a drippin'
  5. I know Flo gets a lot of hate (some if not most warranted) but man last night was a great product. Two tough teams, premier matchups, and a quality stream. I look forward to the next dual in their "dual series". Do they possibly have a schedule set for whats to come?
  6. Being from the Chicagoland area growing up it was the absolute best to go watch midlands and see the "alumni" come and wrestle. I was looking for the guys who won a bunch there....obviously Joe Williams is in a class of his own with 10 titles, but came across this article from 2007. https://intermatwrestle.com/articles/3206/Rev-Rewind-The-Midlands?
  7. Nowhere near as familiar with D2/3, but do we see this kind of seed protection/ducking in the "lower" divisions? Maybe we as a fan base start focusing our attention, money, travels on the wrestlers and teams that put competition as a presidence? I can't speak on the d2 tourny, but d3's is always a blast and the competition is incredible. Just throwing conversation ideas out there.
  8. I tried to read some lips and it looked like Lee was saying, "he said he wanted it" or "you said you wanted it. That's what you wanted" to his corner
  9. I thought he was a NJ guy? Nah different waters for him and I.
  10. I remember a buddy of mine from Illinois was a little guy for most of his career and then junior year of HS had a massive growth spurt and wound up somewhere around 171 if I am remembering correctly. I saw him at a tournament the next year and asked how it felt to be up that high and he said, "man these guys are soo slow up here". I think about that a lot with Zahid and Taylor. Light weights for a huge chunk of their career and then big jumps up in weight...still having those lightweight techniques and movements but now hitting them on guys who maybe have been in the upperweights for their whole lives seems to be an advantage.
  11. 91lb cadet champion at Fargo 2008
  12. was this streamed anywhere?
  13. "It's the summer of George!"
  14. Peyton Robb rolled at CKLV…and I remember an early season Robb giving David Carr everything he could handle last year. I wouldn’t be surprised if he was at the top of the podium Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I just commented on this weight on another thread but I think there is going to be a new #1 almost every week at 157 this year.
  16. Pumped for Coleman to get this win. He has all the ability in the world to be a big time problem come March, just needs to be consistent and string together 3-4 of those types of matches in a row. Lewan had looks like he is a little more offensive this year which is nice. I know its not the strongest weight but the talent at 157 is pretty even and that can make for some exciting shakeups throughout the year.
  17. Love a good upset but that takedown in overtime was absolute nonsense.
  18. Agreed. I hope I am completely off on this and when he moves to 133 he is a killer. Just reminded me of Eric G. when he wrestled. Athletic violent and strong. College guys can figure that out pretty quickly. Again, time will tell.
  19. I have wondered the same about Bouzakis myself might've even posted on themat (RIP) about it. Bouzakis reminds me a lot of how Grajales was in HS. Extremely strong and able to bully most of his opponents. College was a different story for Grajales...We will see.
  20. Real Woods for this year, development wise Chittum or Ayala would be my guess. TnT develop lightweights and he already has the pedigree. I expect Ayala to make big jumps.
  21. I'm really pulling for Warner this year, but I just can't see him putting together an entire tournament. He seemed more aggressive this year, albeit against weaker competition, but against Elam it was back to the same old same old. Hope I eat crow, but that match didn't inspire much optimism for a title.
  22. Those outside singles and quick finishes could be real trouble for Daton.
  23. After watching Vito dismantle Lamont, where do we put his chances against RBY and Fix? Any entertainment of him taking either of these two out?
  24. Does Paniro have any other wins of note besides his one over Gomez? I am having trouble finding any on wrestlestat.
