  1. Don't they always continue action by rule?
  2. Alvan from Brazil is a Brazilian-American who wrestles for Columbia (the Ivy, not the country.) NCAA qualifier. I believe he trains at same club as Chamizo etc.
  3. Hey! Not sure that fits the narrative of this thread!
  4. That is a pretty short one, isn't on very often and may change when Cormier's new podcast starts
  5. Yeah, for some reason not a lot of Americans going to Russia over the past couple years?
  6. T-Row and Funky? Didn't he discontinue that one 5 or so years ago?
  7. Dolph got Williams in OTT, if I remember.
  8. What is the rule regarding the second transfer?
  9. The best part is that he gets a lot of tech falls, almost like he's spiteful of all the people who bring up his last name.
  10. OK, smaller sample size, but I would imagine the data might be quite a bit different.
  11. As always, thanks for this work. What year did they start seeding every wrestler in the bracket? Was it 2010? If not, it would be super interesting to see those numbers.
  12. Crazy... I think it is the same design on the blue singlets. Also crazy: it wasn't just one wrestler, it was 30 for the US. But Agave really loves to knock Spencer Lee. Really loves it.
  13. Was it just Spencer, or was it the whole team?
  14. Was it just Spencer Lee, or the whole team?
  15. Sounds like a meniscus then.
  16. I've said it before, but I wrestled in a square. Never used the 10' apart lines, but they were on more than one mat I competed on. I think tech fall became a thing my sophomore year.
  17. But JB did more than AA on one.
  18. Agreed. When a guy is on his way to the ground on a double, it is imminent. A shelved singe, not so much. (Woods vs Jamison)
  19. Years ago, not 100% sure when.
  20. 100% Something similar alluded to in the high school rulebook, but I haven't looked at the college rulebook in a bit.
  21. Also mentioned (years ago) that he stopped doing leg passes in MMA so he didn't get caught in a leg submission during the entanglement. Just this week, he argued that PD should not be a thing in college wrestling. This is EXACTLY why PD should be a thing. Dangerous positions, that while not "illegal" are often unintentional and can result in injury. Not every position can be covered by the rule book! Meanwhile, last week, Ben (whom I am a fan of) was still under the impression that a toe hold was illegal (but it hasn't been for year.)
  22. Only freshmen; and five dates.
