  1. The only apt American acronym for ESB is Empire State Building. J/s
  2. I don't think it really is at a ranking series tournament like this... How many returning Worlds medalists were in the entire field, not including the USA? Less than ten?
  3. At 65 KG for Canada, McNeil beat his former teammate and the guy he replaced in Clarke in the first round 6-4. Good find.
  4. Well I get it now, guys. Geesh. I could be standing on the ESB and still would have watched that one sail over my head. Apologies.
  5. International refs consider mat control when it comes to activity clock violations. They have done this for years while the US does whatever TF they want to do. I am not excusing it or faulting Arujau (or his coaching/prep). I wish the refs here would just simply ref the same way. I believe Arujau will still medal at the very worst come Worlds. He beats that guy next time and doesn't leave it to the clock.
  6. Vito has said countless times that he is wrestling next season and that he thinks being in school this long is a disservice to the process.
  7. He lost two matches to none to Lee and is 0W - 3L to him on our Freestyle circuit. I would say he should be more focused on decreasing that gap than increasing...
  8. Grad transfers don't have to use the portal the same way.
  9. Minnow Paddy Minnow
  10. There is one at 65 KG, one at 74 KG, and one at 92 KG. The one at 65 KG and 92 KG are twins whereas the twin of the one at 74 KG does not compete in Freestyle at this point (to my knowledge). He would likely be 70 KG or 79 KG as it were, anyways.
  11. To be clear, my answer was 'Won by the skin of his teeth' due to it being probably the most discussed one of the four the last ten years or so.
  12. This is actually a difficult poll to answer.
  13. They would first have to be competing at the same weight.
  14. Looks like a ~60 second Techfall for Zahid.
  15. Looks like Valencia beat Finesilver. Not surprised, although I do not know the score...
  16. Amine just beat Kurugliev (RUS/GRE) for Gold. This is significant because it separates Yazdani and Taylor (I think?). Abakarov (sp) needs to place lower than 10th and I am not sure if he does/did that at this point. If he places 10th or higher, it simply moves DT and Yazdani down to 6/7 rather than 4/5 and has them meeting in the semifinals.
  17. So at 92 KG after Valencia lost to an Iranian (#13 at 97 KG dropped to 92 KG), he is now wrestling for Gold after cross-bracket... and guess who he faces? Finesilver of Israel, who defeated the Iranian via FFT due to their policy on wrestling Israeli gents.
  18. It was there. I saw it.
  19. Already been posted on... Minnow beat you to it, mang.
  20. Looking at the card, it looks insane for USA wrestling fans. https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/101316-bellator-mma https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/bouts/762665-bellator-mma-logan-storm-storley-vs-irish-brennan-ward https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/bouts/764518-bellator-298-michael-blockhus-vs-eli-mefford https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/bouts/772722-bellator-298-max-rated-r-rohskopf-vs-jairo-mumuzinho-pacheco https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/bouts/773979-bellator-298-bryce-misfit-meredith-vs-alberto-angel-rodriguez
  21. Looks as if he is making his debut. The weight appears to be at 145 against a guy who is 0W - 1L at 135lbs and taller than him. https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/bouts/777853-bellator-298-jordan-oliver-vs-andrew-triolo
