  1. I didn't give the Mongol enough credit... or he just didn't come out ready to wrestle. He is holding his own now. Gets a workmanlike and nearly dynamic TD. 30S to go in the first. 6-3 Armenia over Mongolia.
  2. Mongol now the aggressor. Armenian playing that Seth Gross grounded game there. Refs discussing it. Not sure what. Maybe a C1 on the board? Resumes at 6-1 and the call is grounded.
  3. Challenge failed. 6-1 Armenia 1M45S to go in the first.
  4. Armenian at 57 KG dismantling his opponent... beating him worse than he did Flynn early. Up 6-0 midway through the first. Challenge requested by Armenia... they think that it should be 8-0.
  5. 57 KG - Armenia on Mat B to start us out. We need him to win to pull Flynn back in to Repechage. 65 KG - Azeri up next on Mat A. We need him to win to pull Hardy back in to Repechage. 70 KG - Zapf has Inalbek Sheriev on Mat B in three... guy is just as legit as the Kazahk. Former U17 Worlds Silver and Euro U23 medalist as well. 79 KG - We don't care about this weight now. I want the Azeri to beat the Kazahk so Mr. Negative Wrestling doesn't see another match here at U23s. 97 KG - Trumble has an Armenian in Sergey Sargsyan next. Guy beat Jaxon Smith at last years 92 KG U20s 12-2, so he is legit. He has been on the international scene for a long time for how young he is.
  6. Greetings Gents, A few thoughts... basically I want to see the LaJoie brothers succeed and I would like to see Derracott up at 174 for them. What are other folk's thoughts here? 125 Provo is obviously the guy here, I think I don't know that Joyce will challenge him this year, but next year... maybe? 133 I think these gents are going to dog it out until P12s... DiSario and LaJoie... how must LaJoie feel right now? Followed his coach only to be left by him again? He might just be staying for his brother at this point, though. 141 I would love to see Chayse LaJoie get in on some action here. It is likely Miranda's to lose, though. 149/157 No questions here... Abas and Cardenas are the guys here. 165 I imagine Garvin will hold this spot. I don't see Derracott beating him out. 174 It looks like Luke Duthie is making the drop from 184. He hasn't seen the mat in two years, though. I think Derracott should make the double bump, here. It is his best shot at the lineup right now. 184 Darrah had an up and down season last year at 184 during redshirt, but is primed... just like Garvin... to step in for the Cardinals. 197/285 Stemmet/Ming have these two spots lined up.
  7. FWIW gents... I keep it one paragraph so you can't skim ahead. It's a story you need to read from start to stop.

Maybe. There should be quite a few interesting matchups... basically starting at 149 and all the way down are fire, save for 197. That said, Cal Poly has a lot of youth down low and could make this interesting if they swing a match (or two). They are the defending PAC 12 Dual Champions (They beat Arizona State last year...). Not sure if or what to expect of Kemp. I, for the sake of having fun with this, put him at 184. I think Rutgers takes the early matches fairly easily... but I don't think it's 12-0 as Wrestlestate projects. I think it'll be 10-0, though. It is possible we see a deck at one of these weights (141), though. I think the Cal Poly frosh make good of development and minimize the bonus output, though. I think Cal Poly takes the next two with wide Decisions to go in to the break down 10-6. Wick comes out and beats White at 165 and Priest also gets the job done at 174 (he is a gamer and we just don't know what version of Turley we're going to get here). That puts us at 184 with Cal Poly up 12-10. Kemp needs to beat Soldano. He has the pedigree and the speed... will he get it done, though? Yes. A healthy Kemp beats a more fundamentally sound/less go-for-broke Soldano in OT with a slick TD. 15-10 Cal Poly going in to the last two. Poz comes out and just demolishes whoever Cal Poly puts out... 20-4 Tech... in the first... wow... good feelings about Poz this year, gents. Comes down to HWT. For all the marbles. You might think being a home dual for Cal Poly, that it would help Tinker. It doesn't. I pretty workman like 13-3 Major for Slavikouski to close out the dual with a 19-15 Rutgers victory.
  9. This just in: It was and he did win. Badass win for Zapf.
  10. Do we see the same thing we saw with the Jap at 79 KG? Did he just gas him out?
  11. 10S. Drops to the knee... he's done. Gassed like no other. Impressive late surge, but just not enough. Azeri had a distinct speed advantage and that is what won him the match.
  12. Hardy going for broke here. Wow. Down 14-11 with 20S remaining.
  13. NVM. I got it wrong. 8-5 in favor of the Azeri. 1M6S to go.
  14. Have to step away gents. 1M6S to go for Hardy. Either he is down 7-4 or it will be 9-2 because he loses this challenge. Seemed he had control so I think it ends up being 7-4.
  15. Hardy gives up an exposure with 90S to go in the second. Down 6-2. That was low Freestyle IQ by hardy, tbh. He HAD the TD and threw the leg in before he got the 2 called. Gives up another exposure as the Azeri just hips over a little bit. Down 8-2 with a challenge. I think at least one of those gets called away and Hardy gets a TD there. He had control. Should come out of this down 7-4 rather than 8-2.
  16. Ouch. Gives up four at the end of the first. Down 4-2 at the break.
  17. Hardy with a shotclock violation point with 1M to go. Up 2-0.
  18. Hardy gets a stepout 1M into the first.
  19. YEAH BOIIII!!! ZAPF WITH A TD WITH 10S TO GO FOR THE WIN 3-3 ON CRITERIA.
  20. Zapf gives up a TD at the end of the first. Down 2-1 at the break.
  21. Zapf better bring his 'A' game.
  22. Sato was done for when he didn't get that opening takedown. Writing on the wall. Stuff the takedown. Win.
  23. When you don't do shit for 5M45S of a match, that happens.
  24. Hardy in the hole on Mat B.
  25. Sorry!! MAT A!!! @D3 for LU
