In my opinion, Kolat is/was better. He was a true trailblazer who did things that were unthinkable for a high schooler at the time. Midlands was REALLY tough when he wrestled, arguably tougher than NCAAs.

In good humor, I refer to BB’s matches as “intermission”.

Angel Rivera gets to officiate big matches, and the Big10 announcers generally say he is a good ref. That said, I do not like it when he is officiating. It seems like there is always some controvery with his calls, and I think he injects himself too much into the matches. There seem to always be issues with restarts. This is my personal opinion, which may are may not be correct. I wonder what others think.

Willie, I truly appreciate what you guys do to run the forum. I aslo understand the bills need to be paid with some advertising. That said, the experience on phones is not very good with the new ads. There has to be a better way to do it than what is in place right now. There is too much screen coverage and blocking of elements and controls. Desktop is OK. Was just saying to my wife they weren’t calling much stalling. Then they hit Pinto with a terrible call.

BB got a pinfall.

I think if Bouz had looked busier, he could have drawn a stall call on Fix. That half decade plus experience was the difference.

My daughter and her husband were going to go watch PA states in person this year. The tickets were $80 for the pair plus parking. I believe they said tickets were only available online, and each had a $14 "fee" on it. You know, I miss the old barn and reasonably-priced tickets at the gate. Plus, the finals were spotlighted. Ah, the good old days.
