  1. Yes, Mendez is usually the agressor
  2. He's also a freshman wrestling up from his ideal weight. He's probably going have a very impressive career.
  3. Man I hope we someday get a Gable Snyder Flo card.
  4. If he wins this year I definitely think you start comparing him to Spencer. Lilledahl looks incredible on his feet. I would like to see him wrestle more on the mat with elite guys which we should see in a couple weeks. Nice win against Ramos but Ramos wrestled terrible in both his Saturday matches. If they meet again I suspect the match will be a lot more competitive. I think more talent has left 133. 133 lost fix, Vito, and RBY.
  5. What's up with Mendez? I thought he was a lock to win in the first half of the season. Now he has taken several losses to guys he beat last year. He looks fatter and slower(not fat but not as much definition). Not as much pop in his attacks and not stalking and constantly attacking like he was. He beat Yanni and almost beat Zain for the Olympic team in the off-season and was looking like a guaranteed 3 timer. Now he is struggling with several high level college guys.
  6. Ramos wrestled terrible yesterday gave up three takedowns when he didn't give up a single takedown all year. If he takes third can he still end up with the 1 seed at NCAAs? I believe he would still have the best record.
  7. Well I would say Younger Bastida should be the favorite. Ghadiali also comes back next year. Feldman will also be in the mix. Heavyweight does significantly clear out though.
  8. And that match with Smith was awesome
  9. He does seem to be making a serious effort regarding his behavior, which is good for everyone. Everyone loves a good comeback story. I'm rooting for him.
  10. Aww you're so cute! I'm not claiming Taylor is a failure just that he made mistake getting rid of Williams. Gilman has been preaching that they are trying to coach good young men and I believe they should've tried harder with Williams. Williams is having a successful season so he was obviously salvageable. I doubt Taylor makes 7 million a year but that's irrelevant.
  11. You are obviously hurt by this coaching blunder that David Taylor has made as you should be. This mistake by Taylor possibly cost ok state the Iowa dual and maybe even second place at NCAAS. Jordan Williams is significantly better than Carter Young and will definitely score more team points at NCAAS. He is only a sophomore! Taylor is a rookie coach and is going to make mistakes and that's ok. This just happened to be a big coaching mistake in year one. Hopefully Taylor learns how to handle these situations better in the future.
  12. That is quite an impressive jump.
  13. Well Taylor did give up on him though. He booted him from the team. Props to Erisman for being a good coach to his wrestlers on and off the mat and helping Jordan to succeed. Little Rock is killing it!
  14. Jordan Williams! Two big ranked top ten wins over lamer and stiles. Taylor gave up on him way too early.
