He was a very dynamic young freestyler who dominated at St. Paul's in MD. PSU was on his short list before he chose Michigan. His biggest issues post HS seem to be his being a bit undersized for 125lbs and suffering some injuries. If he's healthy and a full-sized 125lber, he may yet prove himself in folkstyle. But I think the move is more focused on his freestyle 57kg future potentially with the NLWC.

Can't dispute either points. Your uncertainty about individual impressions notwithstanding, I am similarly or more unsure that his posts demonstrate he is a man who would cheat on his wife with the specifically identified female wrestler. This is the context of my response. I am not particularly interested in any kind of generalized characterization of this particular individual's "moral character."

I doubt this. The guy was(is?) married with adult kids. I would think that kind of drama would be in the rear view mirror at this stage in his life, but I may be projecting.

Reflecting on the 3-post chain, maybe the joke was more about ski bum culture men incorrectly assuming a girl thinks they're the only one. Facts: Bob is a big time skier, and his company even owns a ski resort. Maybe the comment Bob replied to, which pretty innocuously pointed out Alli previously dated Cory Clark, even bolsters an interpretation that he was more so making fun of Cory Clark's possible perception. My own initial interpretation was biased by the unfortunate 'skank' comment sandwiched between the two others. That anonymous poster doubled-down unapologetically. But we all realize rare is the board poster who reads all comments in a thread before posting. And even if that's one's practice, editing a post can be interrupted or the page not refreshed so that an unseen post slips in. So maybe Willie reflected on this and decided to delete his post. Or maybe Willie realized Alli and Derek can fight their own battles. The brief conversation chain seems bizarre to me. Why bash Derek St. John in defense of Cory Clark by commenting on his new bride? At best it's a poorly bad timed anecdote of sorts, especially considering the interleaved 'skank' comment. At worst it's a combination of overt and implied misogyny. Either way it seems outdated thinking about sexuality and the sexes that does not reflect what young people today seem to broadly believe.

I took that as simply an unsubstantiated/unverifiable counterstrike to Mineo's similar releases of Iowa NIL offers. Iowa posters complained why only their offer numbers are leaked, further asserting they are incorrect amounts inflated and released for dishonorable purposes. Some Iowa fans take offense to those posts, the credibility they appear to be given, and associated half-life, given Mineo's reach. Saying $30K/mo is standard and allowing some audience participation by doing the math and comparing to Iowa's reported NIL offer to Nagao seems to me an excellent troll job. Bob is on record that he doesn't shy away from a street fight and to some degree enjoys it. It all makes perfect sense to me.
