  1. He is massive and so strong. He seems to fade somewhat as matches go on, but he is so good and powerful that he gets off to big leads at the start.
  2. Hidlay into the finals! Takes Kurugliev down early, and the Greek gets hurt, then defaults out.
  3. He lost to Emami
  4. Yeah, I am curious what led to him being stopped in the first place
  5. Seth Gross goes 1-1 in Budapest and does not get pulled into repechage. Got teched 10-0 by KAZ, who lost a close match (4-3) in the semi-finals to Suda from Japan. Hard to use that to gauge how Jax stacks up internationally. Gross wrestles in the Russia-USA dual later this week that could help us better gauge where the US stacks up. I do seriously think Jax is a world title threat, as nobody at 61kg jumps out as a level above the rest (the way Ono was)
  6. I don't know about that, Mocco is better at Free in my opinion. He is 5-0 against Bechtold in Free but 0-1 against him in Folk (got dominated on top/bottom in S32 Finals). We would have to see Mocco get out from Merrill to say that he wins it in Folk
  7. And I think that tracks with him apparently going from constantly training in a HS room to going to Stillwater and training with Fix, RBY, Spratley and being coached by Zo/DT
  8. The 74kg bracket is insane- Salkazanov vs Takahashi match 1 Carr has to beat Bayramov, Toktomambeto and then the winner of Salk/Taka vs. Kuramagomedov JUST to get to Valiev in the finals.
  9. They will have to fight hard to keep him- but no other school will be able to offer what AF offers and they have proven with Hendrickson you can be great there
  10. Adam Waters Injury Defaults out to Michael White of Indiana. Waters was up 6-0 when he seemed to pull his hammy on a White takedown. He tried to wrestle through it, but White scored another 11 points unanswered before Waters called it while trailing 13-6. Obviously, injury was a factor, but White looked really good on his comeback; he hand-fought like a machine, and once he smelled blood in the water, he never stopped pushing.
  11. Kenny vs Mills @126 might be my match of the tournament so far
  12. #3 in Country at 175 Mario Carini is out of the tournament already
  13. Only ever allowed escape points I believe, no TDs, Backs, or reversals
  14. Zinkin Just teched former Fargo runner-up Ayden Dodd 11-0. He is looking GREAT
  15. I think Jax has the highest ceiling simply based on how dynamic he is. He and PJ have the best offensive output (at the senior level) so far, of the four, but I think that Jax just has that technical ability to score from pretty much anywhere, both offensively and defensively, that could be the difference maker between this group. Marcus has elite positioning and will improve his offense against the top guys over time. PJ is so physical, so powerful, and scores cleanly, so I could see the argument for both of them, but assuming all three continue to develop physically, I think that what could set Jax apart is how he just does stuff nobody else does. Also, don't take this as Bo disrespect, I just think he is a step behind these three right now, and based on his style/body type, I don't see him being able to score against the top guys the way Jax and PJ can, or control center/positioning as good as Blaze does. Does not mean he won't have an amazing career.
  16. Jax just outworked Vito in the last 30 seconds. Vito wanted to shoot in and just hold on, his positioning was so good, I think he could have won if he just controlled center
  17. 4:50 is what Kozak from Flo posted. I am trying to figure out how to time it, does that mean the whistle blows at 4:50 or what?
  18. I agree about Rune, I think him being at 197 (if that is his best weight) is what is most important. Just curious how they balance that with HWT being how it is and if Robin does come back they would have 3 NQ level guys for 2 weight classes
  19. I kind of agree, but I also get that it is just too much of a cut. He did pretty good at 61kg for u23s. He took 2nd and only lost to Nic Bouzakis. I think that if he takes the full offseason to fill out 133 and can avoid off-mat distractions, he will be much better at 133 than he was last year. I could see him making a midseason decision to go down to 125 if he feels that is a better spot for him
  20. HWT is such a blackhole- do you think there is any chance Robin gets in the lineup again and they bump one of him, Bush or Rune to HWT (at least for some duals)? I know it would be a little crazy to do it for the year, but it might be their best chance of not giving up major bonus at HWT
  21. Is Bo the only major 2026 left now?
  22. It is funny to me how he seemed to be between Armenia and Azerbaijan as his next destination. If he does go with Azerbaijan he will have Armenia and Iran as major haters now.
