  1. And then they change the rules to give 3 for a takedown and the ultimate goal of the sport, to pin your opponent, is gone.
  2. Yes… if the Hodge was still heavily weighted towards pins, we’d have a group of specialists from across the nation going for it. Who was that wrestler out east that had 20 some pins… Scott… name escapes me.
  3. The Hodge for years was a pinner’s award. It morphed into a most dominant award. I hope it doesn’t become a career achievement award. The first 5-timer deserves all the praise in the world, but not the Hodge IMHO.
  4. What’s the deal? He’s been on the job for a half a day. Where are the lists?
  5. Is there anything that isn’t gamed? Just yesterday I was asked to vote for an athlete online. Here’s the link… come back every day and vote again. Keep voting until the deadline.
  6. Let’s play some tapes of the former FBI director Comey.
  7. McEnelly takes out Starocci in the semis.
  8. There was no X and we had to wait to be programmed on the nightly news with the Tom Brokaw’s of the media.
  9. And who thinks any suspected fraud would make a public web site? Count on behind the scenes investigations.

  12. You think the fraud is going to be tweeted out like the obvious waste?
  13. Scroll up to see the headline and theme of original (now modified) story Trip shared. I’m done with this thread.
  14. The original article Trip shared was updated from opinion to include some facts.
  15. I’ll assume the people in charge reviewed what these few hundred probationary employees were doing and decided they weren’t needed. Training someone not needed or qualified takes away from something else.
  16. In remote and difficult-to-reach communities, Starlink would be an affordable alternative to fiberoptic broadband. Government subsidies (FCC's Rural Digital Opportunity Fund) would make Starlink more affordable for eligible communities. Economies of scale will bring the service pricing down.
  17. Might be an interesting thread of its own, but the primary topic is the dozens of copycat media stories “Trump begins firings of FAA staff just weeks after fatal DC plane crash.” Misleading.
  18. Where does he say anything about radar? Air traffic control software is more than radar. The real misrepresentation by the media here is the layoffs, not the generation of software.
