2025 Recruiting Class
Fudge Tunnel replied to Indiana-Hawk-Wrestling-Fan's topic in High School Wrestling
He's definitely looking better at his more natural weight (and maybe being back home helps, too). When he cuts a lot, he doesn't perform well. He'll be a legit 141/149 in college in a few years. -
2025 Recruiting Class
Fudge Tunnel replied to Indiana-Hawk-Wrestling-Fan's topic in High School Wrestling
Some big names out of this class are... LaDarion Lockett (OK) - 152/160 Sampson Stillwell (MO) - HWT Marcus Blaze (OH) - 120/126 Anthony Knox (NJ) - 120/126 Nathan Desmond (PA) - 113/120 Landon Robideau (MN) - 132 (committed to Minnesota) Dalton Perry (PA) - 138 (committed to PSU) Kollin Rath (PA) - 138 Ty Eise (CO) - 175 I'm sure I'm missing a few. There are a bunch of lightweight sophomores who are hammers (S Mendoza, Castillo, Cortez, DeLuca, Mutarelli, etc). I would be surprised if Lockett doesn't end up at OSU, and Knox at Princeton (that's the rumor). Keep an eye on Stillwell - this class at HWT is thin, and he will be a highly prized recruit. The kid is a monster -
Across the street (literally) from the T-Mobile Center is KC Live - an open air, covered, 2-level area surrounded by 10 or so bars/restaurants (see pic below). Within a couple of blocks of the arena are well over 20 other bars, probably closer to 30. And it's KC, so prices for drinks and food should be fairly reasonable. Parking down there will be tricky on Thursday and 1st session on Friday, but Friday night and all day Saturday should be a breeze. Parking in midtown/Westport/the Plaza and taking the streetcar will probably be the best bet.

The coaches of the teams call and ask the kids if they want to be on their respective teams. Not real complicated

The same was said on Themat forums in '06 regarding Jake Herbert. Result ---> 14-2, Askren

2024 Recruiting Class
Fudge Tunnel replied to Indiana-Hawk-Wrestling-Fan's topic in High School Wrestling
I would be very surprised if that happened, as much as I'd like it to. My guess is he'll end up about 2 hrs west of where he is now -
Same goes for Sasso

Where will AJ and Anthony Ferrari end up?
Fudge Tunnel replied to AOCStallsLikeAMug's topic in College Wrestling
Need doors for Blair, Bergen Catholic, Stillwater HS, Melissa HS and a few more for the other schools they’ll be sure to disgrace -
Where will AJ and Anthony Ferrari end up?
Fudge Tunnel replied to AOCStallsLikeAMug's topic in College Wrestling
What are the chances of Anthony actually seeing a mat in college? -
Arena - 5/10. Old building, bad food, not letting us know who's on what mat, tiny big-screens. Ease of beer access is the only reason the rating is as high as it is The town - 2/10. I'd give it a 1/10 if it wasn't for the lack of traffic Overall experience - 8/10 (because of the great wrestling, and my son going to his 1st NCAA's and having a blast)
-
Dustin Manotti, '06. Lost 1st round, ended up 3rd

That's the word on the street... -
The BOK Center was ok - not terrible/not great. The food was not wonderful, the beer was plentiful but pricey. I'm sure town of Tulsa is fine, but it was terrible for the NCAA wrestling tournament. You need to have plenty of bars/restaurants within walking distance between sessions, and as far as I could tell there were few if any. And the one we found that was "sorta" close was in no way prepared for the onslaught of people. You would think a major city in Oklahoma would be prepped and ready for such an event. OKC definitely had their sh*t together when they hosted in "06 & '14 I feel next year in KC will be much better - a far better facility, and the P&L District literally across the street with all the food/drink choices we need (as well as a covered outdoor space in which to gather and imbibe).
-
Dad on camera is much different that Dad cheering or Dad coaching matside. The spectacle he pulled at Tulsa Nationals a couple of years ago (when he got kicked out, and pulled Angelo off the mat when he would have won the tournament, IMO) is a testament to that

Takeaways from the NCWA All-Star Match?
Fudge Tunnel replied to Jimmy Cinnabon's topic in College Wrestling
Flo didn’t broadcast the MU/ASU dual. It was a Pac12 affiliated thing -
So…did Mocco win? *nevermind*
-
Other than Sinclair & Mauger, who else is in that class?
-
Mocco to 157?!?!
-
Many states are instituting those weights this year, including here in CO.

You're comparing deaf people, to someone who has no clue what he's talking about? Come on, that's a pathetic comparison. Did you watch his debate with Oz? I felt sorry for him, it was sad. Sad that his wife is making him do this, and putting him through this humiliation. She's a real piece of work And put aside his brain damage - his policy positions are terrible. And his history as a mayor and Lt Governor are god awful as well. He's literally one of the worst humans ever on a ballot. This shows 2 things - 1) Oz is an equally bad candidate, and 2) The voters of PA are as brain damaged as Fetterman
-
She's not as bad as that thing that was elected in PA. Good f'ing god. He's literally brain damaged. At least he'll be the butt of a myriad jokes and memes for the next few months (until he's removed from office for "health" reasons)

I wonder how Princeton fills that Glory hole, then.....
