I know you are joking but Hamiti and Olejnik both look like they could afford to eat a few burgers
Hey, maybe Hamiti is transferring to OSU because he ate a canadian bacon pizza at Hideaway and he wants to eat it daily?
I can see facilities being an important factor, but there are lots of other things that should come before such as academics, how good their coaches are, location (can the family come watch your matches conveniently), etc.
"Smear the kid"? If I was "smearing" a kid I'd be here attacking his moral character or ethics, not complaining about a guy being overly concerned about his social media image.
It's not Askren's wrestling knowledge that would sink him. A major D1 wrestling program requires a guy who can not only coach and attract talent, but also knows how to win the favor of the alumni and get donations. Sad, but true. Askren doesn't have the discipline required to control his big mouth, it would be one idiotic controversy after another.
What part of balls? Putting a big going away msg out there as if OU was actually losing somebody who mattered. Nobody cares that he's transferring, how upset can you be at losing a 13-13 Jr who regressed from his sophomore year? Too many of the kids today are obsessed with social media and NOT obsessed with becoming better wrestlers.
Ultimately guys who didn't win NCAA titles every year they wrestled won't be considered for GOAT in college wrestling. That's just how it is. Too bad for late bloomers who may have gotten so good by their last year that they literally were one of the greatest ever, like John Smith or Jordan Burroughs. I don't even think 4 titles is enough to guarantee a person is a GOAT either because then people look at how dominant guys were as well. Cael was dominant from start to finish, no doubt about it. Dake was tough all 4 years he was champ, but he didn't show the domination that Cael did. None of the other 4 timers come close to those guys except maybe Brooks.
Who are you describing in your stats above?
I'd take the job but Wisconsin would have to give me a Lincoln Riley type contract. They'd have to buy my current house at well above market value, buy me a new comparable house in Madison, and pay me $8,000,000 a year with a guaranteed 7 year contract.
Also I want to be paid in platinum bars.
No sane man wants to be a wrestling coach.
From what I've seen of Ben Askren's ego and loudmouth I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't do just that (going up to badmouth Bono). But I wouldn't be surprised it if didn't happen either, there are so many liars on the internet.
Although I can't stand Ben Askren, there's no doubt the kids like him. I think just because of that he'd be able to attract a lot of talent to Wisconsin. I think he damaged his reputation a lot over the years with his stupid antics from his MMA career, do you think he's actually hirable as a college coach? I mean, if he turned over his wrestling academy to some other person and there were no conflicts of interest?
She's still gorgeous. She's super smart as well, I read somewhere that she speaks 5 languages (English, Spanish, French, Italian, and I forget the other). She's also married to a billionaire, naturally.
