  1. I believe he just had a knee scope for a meniscus. Just from looking at the position it looked like his knee rotated which could be meniscus or ACL but if he could not put any weight on it id lead more towards ACL if not both. That said spencer wrestled with no ACL's and Yianni won with a torn one from the quarters on so I would not put it past carter to do the same. What's most unfortunate to me is it appears to be the same leg he injured previously so I hope it does not hamper his future mma aspirations.
  2. that's true I was thinking because he's 7-5 but he only has one bad loss and with the landscape of 125 he could end up being higher than I'm anticipating.
  3. i will almost certainly be using figs as my guy at 125 in the wrestle stat nationals pick em
  4. thought about making a thread but does not seem worth it. Any concern with snyders performance? silot is young and definitely tough but going down 5-2 at the break against someone you have previously teched the past two years seems mildly concerning. Perhaps silot has just gotten that much better.
  5. hope he is ok as well even not being a PSU fan I think TB could still low AA but definitely nets enough points to keep them well ahead of everyone else barring anything insane.
  6. yonger in my opinion starts the match down 1-0 to Wyatt for sure and potentially Kerk. While Kerk does not threaten on top nearly as much as Wyatt he could definitely put a good ride on yonger. I do not think yonger can go under Wyatt so to me its a tall task to beat both of them giving up a point essentially but he has looked outstanding this year.
  7. not that seeding is very relevant for him but I guess it could be if hes really banged up, I wonder how you seed him at 12- (whatever to med forfeits count as).
  8. awesome thank you hopefully hes good to go but having 3 weeks hopefully he can heal up a bit id still take a 70% Carter against the field.
  9. guys are learning to not let olejnik get to a shin whizzer great match by Caliendo most offensive ive seen him this year.
  10. how many matches do you need for an at large?
  11. I think a meeting at the trials if it was a compelling match could potentially add fuel to the fire as well.
  12. on FRL today the guys were debating if KOT going for 4 next year and bumping up against Carter going for 5 would be as big as the DT Dake rivalry. Was wondering what you guys thought.
  13. I would certainly agree he is a none factor at 74 at this juncture but if he made 65 and felt ok I think he would do very well.
  14. I think Meyer is trying to grow into being a 74kg guy its part of the reason he went 157 instead of 149. I would also imagine he does not want to be competing against yianni for a spot they seem super close. I saw someone on here say cox may go heavyweight so he does not have to cut. I'm not sure if there is any validity to that but I would certainly be interested. Chance beat the world runner up at 79kg and 92 at the last ranking series at 86 so im guessing hes feeling pretty comfortable there. As for nashon and desanto I believe 65 is their only realistic option. The main canidates to go down seem to be suriano, vito, fix and then zain to 65 and carter to 74. Those two seem like insane cuts to me but both have legit shots if they can do it and still be effective.
  15. KOT winning 74 would be shocking but I give it a slight chance the guy he body bagged in u23 finals just took third at the European championships and is ranked 5th in Russia. Trumble has had a lot of success as of recently notably really pushing the Iranian that handled Snyder pretty soundly.
  16. 57 - Vito (this weight is hard to predict I think at his best hes certainly our best guy but we've not seen him at his best at this weight) 65 - Alirez (after teching Haji and beating beau without giving up a point I'm sold) 74 - Dake (I think O' toole may give him fits) 86 - DT (very excited for trent and brooks as well as zahid) 97 - Snyder (interested to see the trumble and cox matchups) 125 - Kerk I hope because I think he matches up best with Zare
  17. Hm: chance marsteller
  18. he lost 6-7 to Sidakov this year and beat mark hall at the same tournament that Trent beat him and then Trent went on to beat Dieringer im not sure if you were trying to discredit what beating kentchadze means 86 is not his optimal weight ill give you that but hes still damn good regardless. Trent also did it in the middle of the folkstyle season. edit: Dieringer being the guy that beat Starocci last year that probably means more to you than anything given your posting history.
  19. yiannis is "have some nuts" which went viral after he beat sasso in the semis and they asked how he can improve upon his performance essentially. I think the context is very different at least to me.
  20. tactical circling and using your resources!!
  21. Awesome post you articulated my points much better than I did, Trent's offense has expanded a ton I think it's certainly a two-horse race it just depends on if he's narrowed the margin enough to give himself a shot or not.
  22. I know it seems unlikely given the man at the top of his weight class, but if trent were to beat aaron at NCAA's I think he has as strong of a case as anyone for the hodge aside from maybe keegan going undefeated at 165. He has a 85.71% bonus rate and will have 29/30 wins if he were to beat brooks including a very strong SOS. Just something i have not seen mentioned and I believe he has jumped levels enough to beat Aaron im not sure but I think it will definitely be a match.
  23. his senior year he took 7th at super 32 I just think he developed quite late which seems to be a common think with AWA guys. I follow High school wrestling quite closely and knew nothing about him until he beat haines for the u20 spot.
  24. im quite excited for chance vs brooks as well chance has wrestled much much better at 86 thank I anticipated
