  6. It was good but didn't ride all the way up Weston peak, man those hills are steep and high, did hike a couple high peaks. Got good altitude acclimation so was killing it once back in the low lands.
  7. So you are saying its possible Penn St could win it this year?
  8. So porta, are you denying the routine of taking a dump after weighins but before the match and only in an outdoor mobile loo? Come on give us the full stink john.
  9. Curious, how does DT's freestyle weight align with his college weight?
  10. So what's a possible solution? I don't see a Rs helping on that. The kid could just be in the room getting better for two years start as a Jr. With a Rs he might be in the room for two years start as a rSo but he's competing against guys who came in ahead of him and took a Rs thus has he gained any ground. Now if he didn't do all the travel, the parents saved the money for college, invested in education etc. then he should be ahead of the others and not need the Rs for academic reasons. I don't see any simple solutions.
  11. No Although on second thought, with the current food price inflation maybe in ~10 years we will not to temporarily (say 5 years) drop all the weight classes down by say 10% to reflect the loss in weight of the general population due to this here high inflation era. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
  12. I'd suggest the Mike Leach model is much better but of course its never going to happen.
  13. Lots of research out there but to briefly summarize part of it: QUALITY EARLY LEARNING "Key early childhood research studies demonstrated that high-quality care and education from birth through age 5 results in higher IQ scores, higher school graduation rates and lower crime rates. Young children with high-quality experiences have also been shown to have better vocabulary, language, math and social skills, more positive relationships with classmates, and higher scores on school-readiness assessments." So think if you hold your kid back at 5 so will have a better opportunity in sports.
  14. Wkn, please tell us your routine wasn't to pee in the pool before the start.
  15. PS: never eaten there but we have a Jersey Mike's in my town and I don't live in the Jerseys.
  16. Wouldn't it be more impressive if he got the 5th from Arkansas Little Rock?
  17. Now I'm really wondering if @TexRef is from Texas and if @WildTurk is really from Turkey?
  18. Well don't forget about redshirting kindergarten. This the one that really bothers me because research has shown for quite some time that starting early is very important for education/academic development. So those holding kids back a year (preschool, 1st grade ) for sport reason are hurting them academically. Maybe that's why they think they need a redshirt for academics in college.
  19. Well sure but Bob is still mad about his election loss and now he has to hang out thru eternity with all those dead folks who voted against him, his grumpiness is understandable.
