  1. 1. I think it depends on how Teemer comes off his injury. He wasn't a huge 157 but he wasn't small either. 2. My guess is Chlebove. But Yas is the kind of guy who would run through a wall if you asked him to. So I wouldn't be surprised if he was at 33. 3. Kordell could apply for another year so it is unlikely. Fagen is their best option for now unless they hit gold in the portal. Or get an under the radar recruit like Kordell again.
  2. I thought he was injured and never got healthy. Or maybe that was it, in which case bring in Griffith.
  3. Is Negron not coming back?
  4. Mark Schultz transferred to Oklahoma from UCLA.
  5. For some reason I thought Larkin was already there. Also Addison looked good in the dual. Hopefully he sticks around. I guess ASU didn't win/lose the Ferrari sweepstakes as was rumored last year so unless they find another hidden gem like Norfleet it looks like it'll be Fagan. The lower weights up to 57 are stacked.
  6. They dropped wrestling years ago.
  7. Wars of religion always make me laugh, because basically, you're fighting over who has the best imaginary friend.
  8. Fagen is a capable 97. The lighter/ middle weights are going to be scary good and have a lot of depth. Figs, Chlebove, Yas, Vasquez, Larkin, Ramos, Parco and Teemer coming back next year. Lots of talent. I would like to see a long term solution at 65, the last Penn State transfer at that weight didn't work out too well. But if Griffith is available as a grad student for a year why not?
  9. I meant recently. I know Alan Vera defected a few years ago. Jesus Wilson before him. Haislan Garcia went to Canada.
  10. He must feel tough trying to pick a fight with a guy 50 lbs smaller.
  11. ASU has need at 65/74 next year. If they get a top transfer or two they are in the hunt.
  12. Does the University of Oklahoma still have a D1 team or did they drop to D2 or NAIA?
  13. Not surprised by Courtney.
  14. Mark Schultz has a story about wrestling a bear that was chained up at some bar. I think the catch was you would only win if you could pin both of its wrists down at the same time, which is apparently impossible because of how they are built. He felt sad for the bear since he thought the owner abused it.
  15. It didn't really work out that well with Negron this year. I guess there was a reason he left Penn State.
  16. I know he got hit for a team point after he lost to Belton. I couldn't figure out who else cost them a team point.
  17. 2 of those were NCAA champions and an 8th place finisher.
  18. There wasn't much room for error in this tournament for ASU. Yas getting stuck as Belton was starting to go empty and Courtney losing were surprises. Injuries have just been unkind. Losing Jacori, then having Kordell miss most of the season. Montalvo was in and out with injuries too. ASU needed to go at least 5 for 6 in the finals to have a shot. Also having Willner and Negron not do much on the backside hurt. I saw they were dinged a point for the extracurriculars after Yas lost. What was the other point for?
  19. They got uniforms and everything.
  20. Norfleet wins 14-2. He is back!
  21. I learned the hard way. He did things I hadn't even considered or thought of. Terao is a great example of somebody who incorporated judo into wrestling at a high level. It really throws you, pun intended, if you don't practice against it.
  22. I don't think they had any other choice. They are getting Chlebove ready to take over at 33 next year for McGee. Figs has 25 nailed down. Vasquez might have just had too many injury issues to overcome or he might need a full year to be healthy. Unless everybody moves up at least somebody is sitting next year between Vasquez, Ysa, Ramos, and Parco. Good problem to have I guess.
