  1. Jack Van Bebber and Conrad Caldwell were both undefeated for their career and 3X NC at consecutive weights at Okie State (A&M). Gonna be hard to beat that.
  2. It doesn't answer the question asked. If we ignore the "D1 podium" part of the question, then John Peterson has to be mentioned. 1X NAIA placer who then became an Olympic Champ, Olympic Silver, World Silver, World Bronze
  3. Ben Peterson 2X NCAA Champ, 3X AA, Oly Champ, Oly Silver, World Bronze
  4. Only the east coast GIs, apparently
  5. And as we found out yesterday, 1946 was unseeded, because the east coast guys were lazy and shouldn't be expected to stay in shape.
  6. The statement was "without being seeded in the top 8", which they were not.
  7. Earl McCready, Conrad Caldwell, and Jack Van Beeber
  8. I bet Willie would have had him at #1
  9. And now with Beach Wrestling, they could hold both styles at one location.
  10. Do we count David Arndt? I can't tell for sure if they seeded the 1946 NCAAs. He was a 2X returning champ and was placed on the end of the bracket. In 1941 and 1942 he won it as the #1 seed.
  11. Joe Williams and Pat Smith
  12. Bingo! I took the low hanging fruit with the 3Xers who were #1 seeds.
  13. Dan Hodge and Hugh Peery
  14. yes Let me know if you want hints.
  15. Looks like you are correct. I was not thinking of current wrestlers with remaining eligibility. However, MM fits my original question. Does anyone know who accomplished this before MM?
  16. Does Lowell Lange count? He went 1 (#1), injured did not compete, 1 (#1), 1 (#1)
  17. Double Secret Bonus: A wrestler did this across the only two NCAA tournaments for which they were eligible. Who?
  18. Gray Simons has to be one of them.
  19. If he did take DHEA, he is a complete idiot. How can he not know that it is banned? That is just reckless.
  20. safesport is not affiliated with the NCAA
  21. Are we absolutely sure that the NCAA approved it, and not just LR admins and the PAC-12?
