  1. Yes, that lead to a change in how the B1G handed out wildcards. At the time, I believe only 8th place wrestlers were considered for a wildcard.
  2. Lee Kemp
  3. Craig Henning got screwed in the 2007 NCAA Finals.
  4. Wes Hand
  5. Is it confirmed that Moore will be at 174?
  6. Get Bob to open up the bankroll, looks like he's fit right in at Iowa with that killer collar tie.
  7. It was not a complete across-the-board year, it was a fifth year granted to former JUCO athletes who have currently not used up their 5 year clock. So if they previously redshirted, they were not granted the fifth year.
  8. I'm exhausted just thinking about researching this!
  9. criterion Sorry, couldn't help myself. You do great work!
  10. Thank goodness, otherwise what Carl did to Bobby Douglas would have been embarrassing.
  11. I don't follow HS closely. Are all four of these locks to be NCAA champs?
  12. Jack Van Bebber and Conrad Caldwell were both undefeated for their career and 3X NC at consecutive weights at Okie State (A&M). Gonna be hard to beat that.
  13. It doesn't answer the question asked. If we ignore the "D1 podium" part of the question, then John Peterson has to be mentioned. 1X NAIA placer who then became an Olympic Champ, Olympic Silver, World Silver, World Bronze
  14. Ben Peterson 2X NCAA Champ, 3X AA, Oly Champ, Oly Silver, World Bronze
  15. Only the east coast GIs, apparently
  16. And as we found out yesterday, 1946 was unseeded, because the east coast guys were lazy and shouldn't be expected to stay in shape.
  17. The statement was "without being seeded in the top 8", which they were not.
  18. Earl McCready, Conrad Caldwell, and Jack Van Beeber
  19. I bet Willie would have had him at #1
  20. And now with Beach Wrestling, they could hold both styles at one location.
  21. Do we count David Arndt? I can't tell for sure if they seeded the 1946 NCAAs. He was a 2X returning champ and was placed on the end of the bracket. In 1941 and 1942 he won it as the #1 seed.
