  1. I am not being facetious in any way. Spencer Lee literally sacrificed his body over the last 6 years, solely for the benefit of the Iowa Hawkeyes and their faithful fans. He destroyed both of his knees to win 3 NCAA championships, and honestly, if not for one fluke movement, a 4th NCAA title. I am hearing he re-tore one of his surgically repaired ACLs. If true, this probably knocks him out of competing for the 2024 Olympics. Even though I am a hardcore Penn State fan, I am also a Pennsylvanian and have a soft spot for PA wrestlers, like Spencer Lee. I said this a year ago, but I believe Spencer Lee has, in effect, sacrificed his dreams of Olympic Gold, to win 4 NCAA titles. He fell a bit short, but I think Hawkeye fans need to build him a tribute since he literally gave up us dreams of Olympic glory for the benefit of his college team. He is a true hero to Hawkeye Nation and it needs to be cast in bronze and placed outside of Carver Hawkeye. I would personally donate to support such a tribute to the great Spencer Lee.
  2. My vote was for Vito, but Parris did utterly destroy Cassioppi. Big Cass, while not a champ like RBY, is a very good wrestler.
  3. Some nominees of mine: 1. Spencer locking his hands when Ramos went for the head pinch 2. Labriola rolling into a pin in the finals vs Starocci 3. Cole Matthews not running away from Bartlett in the last 2 seconds of the match 4. Monday choosing down vs Carr
  4. Brooks looks like he could have faced Alirez in the finals. Yianni and Vito both can tie their shoes without bending over. Something in that Ithaca water...
  5. As long as he keeps sitting in the stands with the Brooks' yes.
  6. I think he could return to the top if he did this. Plus, he is best friends with Aaron Brooks. Rolling every day with Starocci, Brooks and Haines would bring a new edge to his game.
  7. I would like to see: 125 - Davis 133 - Howard 141 - Bartlett 149 - SVN 157 - Haines 165 - Carr (hopeful) 174 - Starocci 184 - Barr 197 - Brooks HWT - Kerk
  8. Must have been in the bathroom?
  9. The easy answer seems to be Ramos pinning Lee, but I think after more thought it's actually Vito dominating RBY. Ramos' win was somewhat flukey, whereas Vito was totally in control the entire match.
  10. Why would he have to transfer? I thought this was his junior year.
  11. I heard Iowa has some guys from Iowa too.
  12. Why do KOT and Starocci both look bigger than Brooks?
  13. They are excellent coaches and I hope they stay on as head and assistant head coaches until Spencer takes the reins.
  14. Taking the whole tournament into account, and ignoring the fact that Penn State won by 55, points I have to say yes. There were just a huge number of upsets, including Ramos pinning Spencer, Vito dominating Fix and RBY, 12 seed Van Ness battling back time and time again to take 3rd, and more. However, despite Penn State winning by its largest margin ever, as a Penn State fan, this was the least enjoyable finals I've ever watched. Going 2/5 in the finals is actually one of Cael's worst finals performances after multiple 5/5 years and 4/4 years. Overall though, Penn State, as a team should be pleased even though the night ended on a sour note.
  15. So is the ankle pinch ride employed by AOC, Woods, et al
  16. I'm a tool for pointing out why Grey won? Ok buddy.
  17. Nope. So don't get mad at me for the fact that Grey won.
  18. I wasn't the one who voted for Grey. That would be all the other coaches...call them tools.
  19. Grey went 2/2 in the finals
  20. Vito
  21. Really? Because I actually have a husband.
  22. Does Spencer get just 1 loss on the season or do his MFFs count?
  23. Howard has had so many injuries I don't think we can count on him to last a whole season, sadly. Is Parris a senior? What about Hendrickson?
