  1. How about staying in college until you’re a few years from 30?
  2. That’s a torn ACL despite Starocci not disclosing it.
  3. Had an incredible chance to win it tonight, had the two best shots of the match and just got countered perfectly. Unfinished business or calls it a career?
  4. For being an elite college wrestler Cormier is surprisingly unknowledgeable about the sport.
  5. Fix got every possible advantage that match and still lost.
  6. Vito is going to smoke him. Fix is going to be in the spin cycle for 7 minutes.
  7. Edit: Nevermind, thought Andonian had won by fall this year, but he hasn't.
  8. I love watching Andonian wrestle and wish he had more eligibility. That said, I see he was pinned 3 times during this tourney. Has anyone been pinned more in this year's NCAAs?
  9. Who are the most God-fearing top wrestlers this year at this weight? Obvious Team Jesus members: David Carr, Keegan O'Toole, Carter Starocci, Aaron Brooks, Greg Kerkvliet
  10. Brooks Hidlay is going to be a 3-2 type match (either way)
  11. How many transfers ended up faring more poorly than before? Nagao 5th -> DNP Truax 4th -> 5th Franek 5th -> 8th Woods 2nd (at Iowa) -> 4th Griffith 1st (past season) -> 3rd
  12. If he bonuses Hidlay he should get it. Doubt that happens though. Hidlay is so good.
  13. I am pretty sure Carter won't get OW. Even though he beat two national champs back to back, as the #9 seed...noone actually views him as the #9. Instead he will be judged as the de facto #1 seed who didn't win many matches in the tourney by bonus. And beating Rocco Welsh, a true freshman, is also not that impressive.
  14. Fair. I really doubt 141 is going to be decided by bonus though.
  15. Nominees in my mind for OW assuming they win in the finals: #6 Vito #1 Haines #2 Mesenbrink or #3 Carr #9 Starocci #1 Keck #1 Brooks or #2 Hidlay
  16. If this is true he should MFF the rest of consis.
  17. Griffith did say he was really hurting after his quarters match...but he barely moved against Starocci.
  18. Both guys were former national champs, seeded higher than #9 Starocci, knew Starocci had the giant Spencer Lee knee brace...yet both literally did NOTHING in their matches and wrestled like they were petrified. It was shocking how little both tried to win...it seemed they were defeated before the handshake. Thoughts?
