The biggest "problem" with Spencer is he hasn't actually said he wants the job as Iowa HC that Hawkeye fans have ordained him for. He has said he wants to be AD, though.

I have a hard time seeing Askren being a HC if he truly needs a lung transplant. That is a long long road to recovery.

I.e. who will be the next David Taylor-esque hire who will either invigorate an existing powerhouse program or elevate a second tier program to the upper echelon? Some obvious candidates: Spencer Lee (though he has said he really wants to be Iowa's next AD) Jordan Burroughs Kyle Dake Jason Nolf Yianni D (maybe he hangs it up after being dethroned by a high schooler) Coleman Scott (after being burned by Ok State, he's still a prime HC candidate) Who else am I missing?

1. Duke 2. Jax [possibly 1b with Duke as 1a if he beats Vito] 3. Blaze, true 3rd over Hardy 4. Bassett I wonder how many Nicolls it would take to pry Duke away from Penn State?

Final X has yielded mixed results so far for Penn State/NLWC: Messenbrink gassed and lost to Carr Barr dominated by Hidlay Duke TF'd 10-0 by Yianni Lilledahl dominated by Lee Dake dominated by Valencia Maybe Penn State isn't the juggernaut everyone thought it was?

I can't imagine the revenue apportioned to wrestling would exceed the value of a scholarship...

I thought Stevo finished his eligibility last year.

Or in Penn State's case you can have 30 rostered wrestlers and 6-8 guys who tried to transfer out but didn't find a new team?

But they wouldn't be officially part of the team, right? Since they are outside of the 30 rostered wrestlers...

I assume these wrestlers' college wrestling careers are over then? Or do some of them get to stay on their previous team? I'm thinking about Penn State where there were about 10 guys in the portal and only 3 or 4 of them landed on new teams.
