  1. I don’t know about Mesenbrink going down, but I just can’t envision Haines staying at 157 again. He looks huge to me and I think his gas tank was down a bit this year. He’s pretty young so likely still growing. I honestly wouldn’t be surprised if he leap frogs MM and takes over at 174 if Starocci is done.
  2. Few things more pathetic than attacking someone for their religious beliefs anonymously on the internet
  3. Wow. Duh… getting my years mixed up. I need to stop posting and go to bed
  4. Doesn’t he have a bye to the semi finals?
  5. 100 point margin of victory is insane! Congrats to Penn State and it was cool watching a historic event. Now let’s hope for some more parity next year. I’d love to see a close team race with someone different winning next year!
  6. Yes, I agreed it’s a reality. I just don’t really think it’s a great thing to say as the announcer. I’m not real concerned about it though. I still love JB and loved his response to Nickal
  7. I actually did think it was unprofessional to say on the mic and I am a HUGE JB fan. I understand it’s a reality but he shouldn’t be saying that as an announcer
  8. And the 2,3,4 nearfall… it really does make a huge difference in bonus. I demand an asterisk lol
  9. Impressive mental toughness by Starocci. I was never a fan of his but you have to respect his grit. On crutches 12 days ago… to winning a national title with a really tough draw!
  10. Yes I know. But there were at least two others he should have had that were close to the edge and didn’t go out right away
  11. Another reason this OOB stalling rule sucks is that the refs wait to call stalling now until they go out. In prior years, if some one is backing up and the other guy is shooting, they would throw up the stall as soon as the guy shoots (as they should). Now they wait and if they don’t go out, they avoid a stall call. Fix (and many others) dodged some stall calls that way
  12. Wow! This is crazy! Right call for no takedown both times, but it sure is making it look like Fix is the villain
  13. Need a point of emphasis on whether or not this is a takedown. It should be universally known as its a super common position. All these challenges are killing us
  14. JB knows how blood can kill momentum… bringing up bad memories from 2016
  15. That’s got to be what the challenge is. Obviously a takedown, but he is clearly grabbing the shoe… if that’s a headgear or singlet, they would call a penalty point.
  16. He’s not even top two on his own team lol
  17. Ayala Vito Mendez Gomez Haines Carr Starocci Keckeisen Brooks Kerkvliet
  18. I’m sure that’s frustrating as a coach, but his ‘reckless abandon’ style is what got him this far. You gotta take the bad with the good and I’d rather have a kid like andonian
  19. As a true freshmen in a time where 6-7 year seniors are common. Pretty impressive
  20. Lots of a crazy stuff happens at NCAAs but I actually doubt that that has ever happened before
  21. We just had 3 NCAA champions wrestling on 3 different mats at the same time… in the CONSOLATIONS!
  22. Which is worse the Molinaro “I choose bottom” or the Lovett “I choose top”?
  23. You must have me confused with someone else lol. I’m not a Penn State fan. I’ve been critical of them many times and yes, I was critical of it when RBY did it to Desanto. I’m just an unbiased wrestling fan so I will call it out whether I like the team of the injured guy or not
  24. Are you in favor of allowing all MMA submission holds? There’s a huge difference between moves that cause pain and moves that cause injury. Arm bars, power halves, etc. are painful as are all good pinning combinations. I’m all for that. Most people don’t know the technique on the move Plott did but it is a move that is not really painful… just takes your knee to a position where it all of a sudden pops. I’d have to do a breakdown on the technique (which I’m not taking the time right now) but if you see it, I bet you’d agree it’s quite dangerous.
  25. It’s already technically illegal because you can take a joint in an unnatural direction. It’s no different than a kimura or any other submission. You just can’t see the damage til it’s too late. I don’t want to keep seeing people with knees blow out. We have enough already
