  1. Disagree about Spencer’s game plan… I think it was great. He needed to slow down Higuchi and he did it exceptionally. He simply lost the one key scramble to a fantastic wrestler. Now Parris with all those straight on shots, and Dake not lowering his stance and allowing him in on his legs were both bad match tactics.
  2. Seriously…post Olympics?? It ain’t even over yet. If Zain and Snyder win gold you are going to have some serious crow to eat! Even if they don’t, it’s so annoying how people give such little credit to wrestlers outside of the US. The rest of the world is pretty good too. We did not wrestle our best today and we have work to do, but bronze medals are still hard to come by
  3. None of the 57kg guys wanted to do it. Seemed like they were asked to but didn’t want to and just held them awkwardly by their mouths lol
  4. Happy for Helen! She is amazing and her story even more amazing! 3 Olympic medals and our first gold, she is a pioneer for women’s wrestling and she is the GOAT of women’s wrestling in America (at least until Amit Elor passes her )
  5. Why are they doing medals now? I thought the girls are going?
  6. Not the way you to see anyone lose. Looked like more than a cramp to me lol. Hope he’s ok and he doesn’t hang it up
  7. Wow sooo close for Amine! That knee was just barely off the mat. Incredible awareness by Kurugliev
  8. Finally a W. Congrats to Brooks…not what he wanted but a huge accomplishment!
  9. Ugh. Tough one. Higuchi was on a mission too. He wrestled very well and so smart. Good tournament by Lee
  10. Let’s go Spencer! Turn this day around for us!
  11. Wow! That was a crazy sequence! Heartbreaker for Bullen… she didn’t need that
  12. Who ya got at number 1? Kentucky Mudflap?
  13. I think we never even got to see the best Gable could be. The dude took down Geno three times in like 20 seconds… I’d say his offense is pretty dynamic. Imagine if he was training freestyle full time… I think he would have been dominant
  14. DF - he was hilarious in his prime! I think he overdid his schtick a little bit and it ran its course
  15. That’s exactly what happened here! But what I can’t understand is that Dake used to have the lowest stance I’ve ever seen AND one of the best at scrambling. Guess he got too confident in his scrambling/chest wrap
  16. Agreed. He used to have such a low stance…
  17. Man, I thought those chest wraps were initiated by Dake!
  18. Zain gets Amouzad opening round and Azarpira vs Taz opening round! Tough draws! Snyder sitting pretty good in his quarter but is on Taz’s half
  19. “Ongoing coverage” is showing all the American matches right now. It’s got JB and whoever else is with him are both good. Almost wish I would’ve slept in and just watched this lol. Too many other good matches though that I would’ve missed
  20. Hahaha yes! How could I forget that
  21. I’m drawing a blank but I remember this happening to someone else in a big match… two cautions in the last ten seconds to lose the match. Anyone remember that?
  22. Happens all the time. Table and chair need to confirm… they made the right call which was only two
  23. Yes, they gave him another caution at the very end. Crazy
  24. Wow! I can’t believe they reversed that! Two cautions in the last six seconds to lose!
  25. Exactly. Unfortunately, the “why not?” Is because if you don’t challenge, a takedown and step out wins it. Lesson learned… hopefully she gets pulled back
