  1. As Gary Hart said, we don't elect our best and brightest any longer.
  2. Not really, but they succeeded in doing so twice, in a mere four years' time.
  3. Marjorie was trying to draw them up on inauguration day.
  4. Wow, yet given what the 30 percenters will buy into today, as I said, this is actually rational.
  5. They're not peers, and if you want to treat it like a trial, it was a kangaroo court, at best. I owe nothing. Why aren't you griping that people are incessantly posing, trying to "troll" me(whatever that means)? It wad you griping about how I'm the one who does that, yet it's still all me. I'm not even replying to them, other than the gif.
  6. Maybe. I just never heard of any such blackouts here, but I could be wrong.
  7. Well, I'm not the one who tries to discredit highly regarded and recognized pros in their field, all the while having never read any of their works, nor having any knowledge in the subject area. Turn on AM radio...NOW!
  8. I live dead in the middle of the midwest and no power outages here when Texas energy capitalism couldn't keep up.
  9. Just as I'm doing.
  10. If kool aid means scientists who work in the industry, serve me up a tall glass!
  11. Research doesn't back up what you say, nor did any of the above happen as you present it.
  12. You don't have an original thought of your own, do you? It's like a daily news feed from hate merchants, hellbent on misleading you and keeping you angry. Bob Altemeyer's peer reviewed research for decades is questionable to you?! Really!? What do you find questionable? This should be fun, friends!
  13. Given the nonsense that's coming out of the 30 percenters today, 9-11 conspiracies are almost rationale, by comparison. Goes to show what happens when responsible people keep quiet or are in fear of exposing nonsense.
  14. Fine by me. I just convey facts and get paid whether they buy it or not. However, I'll trust what their end of the semester surveys tell me, which have been overwhelmingly positive for 28 years. Still obsessed with me, eh? Man, I'd hate living like that.
  15. No, authoritarianism isn't presently happening on both sides, and nor has to for twenty or more years now. Again, Adelmund is one of the foremost names to research these ideologies and his studies show, which I've read, that it's a one way street. I have an obligation to convey facts, which is what daily.
  16. I have no alarm with it. I know too many people who study and know alternative energies to be alarmed, as I've not met one who share these concerns.
  17. Ah, yes, another brilliant one re-igniting a dead thread. See what I mean, folks? This was none of my doing today, but, heck yeah, I'll always defend myself with antagonized.
  18. And, according to Adelmund's authoritarian scale, which I have taken, folks like me show up NOWHERE on his radar, as I pointed out earlier. It's the 30 percenters, with recent studies showing 26% ( and they ain't folks like me).
  19. All well and good, but I'm going to keep eggertating on the facts, which includes our long history of book cancellation. Obviously, the N word is an important one to you, which MUST be preserved. However, no human sexuality though!
  20. Says the present energy companies trying to dupe us into thinking a catastrophe looms if we don't keep buying their oil and coal. We are and will be fine. I welcome the change. Costs me less!
  21. Doesn't change nor affect my life, as we've had energy standards put on us our whole lives. If that passes for authoritarianism, then give me more of it! I'm all good with cutting my personal energy costs.
  22. For one, legislatures are not the ones doing this. These books featured an antiquated derogatory term toward black people. They have been banned for decades now, due to that one term. Not the content, not the subject, but one unnecessary term. As for today's authorutarian culture cancelling, it's being done through legislature s, which makes it unusual. It's not just one term, but themes, content, sexuality, sex and gender, race, ethnicity, and, most bizarre, canceling the teaching of the Holocaust, while mandating that eggakators teach about the benefits of slavery for Blacks. Again, this is being done by legislators and authoritaroan gubners, NOT libraries, schools, or even school boards, which is what happens with the N word. Either way, so ask you want, but I'm still teaching what I teach about it. I got them pesky facts on my side, which Ronnie Trees Cause The Greenhouse Effect Reagan said, "facts are stupid things. "
  23. Haven't heard about the Florida books cancelled, eh? Precisely why I don't do your work for you if you're unwilling to learn.
