I mulch all summer with my Scag Zero turn, but I mow/dethatch and bag first cutting in the Spring and mow and bag as the leaves come down.....all that goes out in the adjoining farm field.  My lawn is like Augusta National.

I have no idea what my wife does, but my lawn looks like Augusta National too. And my driveway get shoveled perfectly every time.

yes, only Iowa does that, to those piling on.

i agree, stalling should be called much more often.

in particular, if hanging on to an ankle with a hand earns a five count, why doesn't hooking the ankle with my leg?

Because they are very different things even though they both involve the ankle.

Just watched Iowa’s Bennet clearly and obviously drag Army’s Sanchez OOB while riding on top.  Called action by ref.  B S

Bennett drove the action OOB to avoid a potential scoring action. Text book stalling.

    CALL IT!

Too bad it wasn't in Carver, because those Iowa fans would certainly call for the stall. Right?

Funny, it sure looked like you asked "What place did he finish and who/what seed did he lose to?" as a troll who already knows the answers might ask.

To answer your clarified question, I would hope being seeded number #2 would not have an effect to one who loses to the #1 seed.  But I suppose if we want to engage the hypothetical:

    1) It could be the #2 vs #3 match was tougher than the #1 vs #4 match might've otherwise been for Mark Hall.

    2) It could be if the eventual champ and #1 seed had been seeded #2, that stylistic match-up closer to weigh-ins against the #3 seed might've prevented him from making the finals.  After all, he had lost to Mark Hall in the semifinals the prior year.

Did it ever occur that not everyone who disagrees with you is a troll?

No I'm just asking if being seeded #2 had any affect on the outcome?

Its possible to understand a "policy" that says the AllStar doesn't count but yet understand why some coaches may consider such a result in their seed vote.  Where the athlete finished the year before is also not supposed to be considered.  Its also certainly understandable why a coach might consider a singlet grab penalty point win in a double OT match to not be too much more valuable than the opposing wrestler's loss, yet there's no specific "policy" on how they should weight such in their own mind.

All said, maybe the AllStar is to blame for the New Age of Ducking😞

Speaking of which, who was it that proposed a ducking index on the old board?

One of the more petty things I've done at the old board (Dec. 09-Oct. 12, just to clarify) was to actually put the word on the banned list. Every derivative was ****'ed out. People snuffed that one out immediately. I had to removed d*ck from the banned words list, because the default word kept changing Mike Zadick to Mike Zathingy.

I had the opposite. Several years ago my company installed a new bit of software that would transcribe voicemails and send the transcription to your email. It would randomly insert swear words into the transcriptions that were not in the voicemail. We had to turn it off, though I thoroughly enjoyed it.

  7. From 2003 - 2006, Oklahoma State's Jake Rosholt won three NCAA titles. His seeds the three years he won were 10, 2, 4 for a total of 16 and an average of 5.33.

Has anyone with multiple titles had a higher average seed than Rosholt? I am willing to count unseeded as the midpoint of the highest seed+1 and the total in the bracket. For example, in a year where seeds only went to 8 and there were 31 wrestlers, an unseeded wrestler would be 20.

I thought he was only in timeout but if we can ban NJDan can we also ban the words "pinfall" and "states?"  🤔

I found a bracket on wrestlingstats that used both pin and fall in the same bracket. If it is good enough for Jairus Hammond, it should be good enough for all of us.

Pinfall, Pinfall, Pinfall. Attica, Attica, Attica.

  9. Let's start by stating the obvious.

NJDan is stubborn, obtuse, fractious, incapable of admitting error, and a bunch of other things. But, so what? While he can be a royal pain in the ass, he is not what I would consider a troll. As a matter of fact, he has some of the attributes that are often prized in discussion forums. He starts topics, he argues with everyone, he doubles down when wrong, but all in all he is pretty harmless.

So the question is, should NJDan be banned for being a pain in the ass? I am in the camp that he should not, but reasonable people might disagree.

Besides, if we did not have him, who would we feel superior to?

So was it confirmed Max86 was yet another alias of NJDan/Brooklyn Dodger? That makes sense as to why he'd be immediately dismissive of people who actually know what they're talking about. I'd have noticed it if there was an "if true" line.

I think I know his new username, but I will refrain from sharing at this point because 1.) I am not certain, 2.) It is not clear to me that he should be banned just because he is a pain in the ass.

    Did he win?

yes, in 2016. Ironically only three wrestlers have won a 125 title since the last time PSU won a 125 title, but everyone thinks they cannot figure out that weight. It is just that they are like the field at the weight.

No one talks about 141, but until Nick Lee, PSU had never had a champ at 141.

Is this the real question? How many team titles would PSU have if Ferrari went to PSU?

Or... maybe another question is, who would have been the best coach for Ferrari to keep him out of the trouble he has been in? Believe it or not, Cael is not the coach to save everybody.

I think he was making fun of the original question by reversing the premise to show the absurdity
