  1. Much smaller example. "I don't disagree". Just say you agree.
  2. From The Athletic: Starocci wrestled at the U.S. Olympic Trials at 86 kg (189.6 pounds). He said he was tired of cutting weight to make 174.... “We have so many killers in the room,” Starocci said last month. “You guys saw (Alex) Facuno and (Levi) Haines going at it. Those guys are really good guys. I know Haines doesn’t want to make 157 anymore. I know Facundo’s having a hard time making 165. … I think however the team formulates I don’t think anyone is coming close to Penn State for a long, long, time.” Obviously not definitive, but suggestive.
  3. How did you come by this information?
  4. You couldn't think of anything funnier because there is nothing funnier.
  5. Surprise ending. That started out like a retirement Tweet.
  6. What a smoking gun. Between 4 and 8 years ago Soros gave between tens of thousands and hundreds of thousands of dollars to organizations that are now tied to protests, at least one of which stopped taking Soros money yrars ago.
  7. Stop with the, I was just asking. No one who is just asking is just asking. And, yes, I am doing well. I hope you are too.
  8. You are the perfect embodiment of "if all you have is a hammer, every problem looks like a nail." Apprently everything is a Soros conspiracy in your world view. Do you really believe a Jewish man is funding "Little Gaza"?
  9. No Olympics means no Olympic Redshirts.
  10. Little known fact is, not only is Dake getting younger, he is also getting larger and smaller at the same time. It is a quantum thing. If you aren't a theoretical physicist you wouldn't understand. But, as a result, he is actively petitioning the NCAA to change the compete at one weight rule. Cornell and PSU lawyers (again - the quantum thing) are all over this.
  11. Depends. What is the exchange rate between CB and Stanley Nickels?
  12. Epic rally in DJT. Still no receipts?
  13. My transfer activity is virtuous. All other is tawdry.
  14. Not shittalk. I heard most of HR/GIA was about to post this. By heard I meant felt. By felt I meant hoped. By hoped I meant made up.
  15. Good point. So either Hendrickson cuts to 174, or Braeden Davis bulks up to 174. Maybe both and another wrestle off.
  16. Once they are done with the portal I think Iowa's lineup looks like this for next year: 125: Figueroa 133: Crookham 141: Alirez/Mendez 149: Alirez/Henson 157: Haines 165: Mesenbrink 174: Starocci 184: Keckeisen 197: Buchanan 285: Kerkvliet There will be a three way wrestle off between Alirez, Henson, and Mendez for the two spots. With this lineup, I think they keep it a little closer to PSU, but in the end it isn't enough.
  17. It is hard to define generational talent statistically. If you look at four timers, you are limited to the last 50 years and they are coming thicker and faster. The gap between four timers was 20, 8, 11, 2, 7, 1, and 0 tournaments. If you look at 100%ers, there are 25 of them, which seems too much for generational in a 93 tournament span. Narrowing it down to undefeated is a bit strange too. It used to be a lot more common to be undefeated. From the 30's to the 60's there were 9 undefeated wrestlers. And the gaps were 1, 0, 4, 8, 2, 9, 5, and 4 tournaments. The gap to The One We Were Promised was another 36 tournaments, and it has been 22 tournaments (with a 23rd - 26th guaranteed) since that magical moment. So, I guess we are left with the eye test. Or maybe it is the GOAT conversation we had previously. My contention was that there is only ever one GOAT. That GOAT has to surpass the previous GOAT to be the GOAT. But that isn't really the same as generational, is it?
  18. I imagine any luring would be handled by outside entities, like an NIL collective or individual.
  19. Is Alirez in the portal?
  20. You are spelling the wrong Zain.
  21. Their claim is that their right to due process was violated by the failure of the DCI to get a warrant before accessing the geoloacting data.
  22. I think Starocci only said he wasn't coming back to college because he hates going to class and who cares about five if you are the only one who gets the chance (paraphrasing). But my general sense is we see all of these guys back for a World run, but Taylor, Burroughs, and Gilman are done for Olympic runs. On the quieter side what do guys a year, or a couple of years out of college who did not hit the pinnacle do? Once more for Worlds, or no? 57/61kg - Fix, Suriano, Megaludis 65/70kg - Lee, McKenna, Pletcher, Panteleo, Eierman, Henderson, Diakomihalis, Green 74/79kg - blanking 86/94kg - Marsteller, Valencia, Hidlay, Dieringer 97kg - Moore, Macchiavello, Jackson 125kg - Gwiazdowski, Bradley, Hilger
